Well now that Crane is COMPLETELY nuts, i think its time we get the full on comic costume. Ala Long Halloween.

I thought Scarecrow and Mad Hatter in TLH were hysterical.

MH: "tEa?"

SC: "Pat-a cake. Pat-a-cake. Baker's man."

MH: "yOu coUlD aLwaYs Have MOre!"

Tisk tisk... this one was good too:

SC: "Hurmmm. I doubt it."

I think he should wear an outfit like the Creeper from the Jeepers Creepers movies.

Also wearing his mask with it.

Good call

Since TDK might take place right after the events of BB, we might even see what happened to Crane after he rode off in agonizing pain.

I still think Crane is dead.

Considering Gordon's remarks at the end of Batman Begins...

Well, lets just say I'm pretty sure they would have found a corpse of a guy in a straightjacket wearing a scarecrow mask atop a horse SOMEWHERE in the narrows if he were dead.

He's alive and kicking! And hopefully will show up in TDK...

I wish I could see that better on the computer I'm on, but from what I can tell that looks great. Just add his mask and his straight-jacket and you've got TDK Scarecrow.

so what's the news on one of my favorite actors reprising his role in the film as Scarecrow?

I think The Dark Knight could have him in as another minor role and finally going insane. Though, imprisonment is the best option for his fate so in the next Batman movie, it will involve around Two-Face.

nuthin new yet, other than the early rumour that he could be in it.

I am crossing my fingers. They pulled off two villains in the first (Ra's and Scare), they could assuredly do it again (Joker and Scare).

Here's a quick question, I didn't follow the comics but I am a fan of the movies and all the animated series... did Joker and Scarecrow ever team up, and if not, would it ever be possible?

I think it would be kick ass to see Heath Ledger and Cillian Murphy team up (both are young 30's actors that have the look) against Batman.

i believe they did, someone here posted a panel from a story that had Joker and Scarecrow arguing over something.

Nolan is sly like a fox. All of Crane's scenes could've been shot in England and we'd never even know about it until it was close to the premier or the trailer.

If we really want to get pretty technical about it, chances are that he wouldn't have any access to his own funds after the huge crimes he took part in. And after escaping incarceration, the first thing they would do is seize all of his accounts, so spending too much money on anything without stealing it first would be tough, but then again, mob payoffs, etc, aren't exactly inconspicuous in a bank account, so he would probably have a decent amount of cash on hand instead of in the bank.

Which means they could go two ways: Brand new suit of some sort that he created with his kept funds, or a half-assed home-made kind of suit that an insane homeless criminal-type would make to scare people.

I personally like the latter a little bit more. He would look great wearing an old beat-up trenchcoat, brown, of course, with his mask on or something close to it, since he wouldn't have the cash to alter it too much, and an old brown hat, almost like indiana jones, but more scarecrow-ish if yo know what i mean. Almost like an architype of a private-eye, i guess you could say. Almost like what you would see in the animated series sometimes where he would conceal himself a bit with the clothes and the shadows and then when he wanted to scare the hell out of you, he would get really close very suddenly and spray you while he looked up and let you really see his face. I sure you could picture something like this on film.

check out this youtube clip of an approximate of what i'm talking about. It's the part where the man in blue is throwing him around (only without a white hat).

i hope Cillian Murphy does come back, but i read somewhere that they wanted him to do a small bit role in 28 weeks later and he said no. i thought that was a ***** move of him to do, since 28 days later kinda put him on the map. well at least got his name out there.

he's stated something to the effect of "i'm just waiting on word from nolan, i haven't heard from him yet. i'd love to work with him again."
