This is pretty much the first time a villain has appeared in more than one Batman film. Good stuff.

This rules.

Although, the lack of continuity with two actresses playing Rachel makes this movie NOT perfect, in my opinion.

If Maggie could've been in BB, this new movie would be 100% PERFECT to me.

I would so love them to refilm her Begins part. Sigh, in my dreams

seeing as the Scarecrow´s my favourite villain, this is the best news I´ve heard in a long time!

scarecrow is great...........in the comics. but the movie scarecrow was lame in batman begins. i hope they make him un-lame in TDK.

I knew that Scarecrow would be back. I think we all did. But, man, just seeing this stuff still has me super f***ing excited!!! (That video was cool, too!)

Loved Cillian in BB. Such a little slimeball. Can't wait to see Scarecrow again in this one, even for a small bit.

You said Scarecrow is in your top ten... I was making the point that anyone in the rogue's gallery who doesn't make the top ten probably sucks... It's not like being in the "top ten" is a huge deal, that's all.

Would you like to elaborate? :o

*sigh* havent i already done this enough now? there are many reasons why i didnt like scarecrow in begins, and why im not really thrilled about his "return" in TDK. doesnt matter anyway, you and other fanboys will just take apart my words and tell me "your wrong he was awsome" about 2 million times because i disagree with you. i'd rather not get the ball rolling again.

Hehe, Scarcrow's return has me so happy that I changed my avy and sig.

Welcome back!

Fair enough. And no, I just wanted to know your reasoning.

Me too. You're certainly entitled to your opinion and I hate picking apart posts anyway. I'm just curious to hear why, is all.

Personally, I enjoyed the hell out of Murphy's performance. It's no secret that he's a great actor. I really appreciated his portrayal of Crane because he was just a slimy, sly, little weasel... but still had his hand in the criminal plot against Gotham by weaponizing the toxin.

I loved the scene in Begins where he says "I'm more than aware you aren't intimidated by me, Mr. Falcone... but you know who I'm working for." It shows that despite his small stature and unintimidating frame, he knows how to play the cards. He is smart with words and calcualating in his actions. His genius still helps him get the best of Falcone, by gassing him with his own toxin and locking him up in his own Asylum. As he says, in Arkham, "only the mind can grant you power," and it's funny because he's the real brains there. Murphy embodied this beautifully, as he was dark, intelligent and firm, yet completely weak and always looking over his shoulder. He needed thugs to do all of his dirty work. He was helpless with brute force, but overpowering when given the oppurtunity to utilize his intelligence. I also loved how cocky and important he acted towards Rachel.

There's my reasoning. Again, just curious to hear it from the other side of the spectrum... if you'd be so kind as to oblige me, Google.

I think this Description, says it best at what The Scarecrow's role will be in the very beginning of TDK .

With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Eckhart), Batman (Bale) sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker (Ledger).

Not if hes taken a couple of steps back in his character development

Nolan's Scarecrow isnt the villain you're expecting: dressed up like a real scarecrow. He's a very smart and CORRUPT ex-doctor that uses a scarecrows' mask and gasses you to "scare" the crap out of you and now he has goons for muscle. His whole outlook is to gain power not really so much to kill Batman, although that would be a plus. So thinking that he's backwards developing isnt a well thought out opinion.

When I read this and another discription I was guessing Maroni and "_____" are fighting for mob control. Bats/Gordon/Dent are trying to stop them while the Joker crashes everyones party both good and evil. Now I know the other "______" villain is Crane. I love it. I was hoping for Sionis but Crane works too. :yay:

I thought it was The Penguin (before it was revealed it was The Scarecrow )

Erm............ well he got his mouth taserd by the better half of TomKat, and ran off howling like a banshee on a horse.............yeah

Bingo.

ok, im just gonna be blunt: nolans version of scarecrow in batman begins wasnt...scary. least not me. a few camera shakes and one semi-creepy shot with maggots on his face just didnt do it for me. the aforementioned "takedown" scene (which looked to be cool) was just salt in the wound. he also didnt wear his mask very often, and there wasnt enough of "scarecrow" in begins. just too much of pretty boy murphy, though he did have some good acting scenes, i was more interested in his villian alter ego then his corrupt lawyer one. same with batman. too much bruce wayne, not enough batman.

Thats a good guess too, The Penguin. I was hoping for Black Mask. Are you happy with Scarecrow? I am. I can live with it.
