This movie is sounding more mouth-watering every day. It just sounds like the perfect Batman movie right now.

i wouldnt say the "perfect" batman movie, but it looks like it might be better then begins was.

Nolan's Scarecrow isnt the villain you're expecting: dressed up like a real scarecrow. He's a very smart and CORRUPT ex-doctor that uses a scarecrows' mask and gasses you to "scare" the crap out of you and now he has goons for muscle. His whole outlook is to gain power not really so much to kill Batman, although that would be a plus. So thinking that he's backwards developing isnt a well thought out opinion.
Thats actually what im expecting, so I dont know where your going with this. The only thing different I was expecting was a little change of an outfit (nothing drastic tho).

EDIT- And possibly a lil bit more looney, nothing drastic once again, just so how he has changed from having been affected from the gas.

Bingo.

ok, im just gonna be blunt: nolans version of scarecrow in batman begins wasnt...scary. least not me. a few camera shakes one semi-creepy with maggots on his face just didnt do it for me. the aforementioned "takedown" scene was just salt in the wound. he also didnt wear his mask very often, and there wasnt enough of "scarecrow" in begins. just too much of pretty boy murphy, though he did have some good acting scenes, i was more interested in his villian alter ego then his corrupt lawyer one. same with batman. too much bruce wayne, not enough batman.

You have a solid point but, Crane turned to his alter ego mainly when he was threatened or wanted to scare you. He didnt need to wear it any other time besides the odvious scenes. He was a doctor/warden by the way.

who knows? maybe he will have a full costume or something simliar to his gettup at the end of begins. if that happens, i'll forgive nolans poor use of him in begins.

oh, forgot he was a doctor. for some reason in the movie he reminded me of a lawyer, what with that suit and all. could have at least given him a white lab coat.

Yeah I get ya now, I know what you meant. Although I think I would respect a smart doctor who dressed like he wants to do business (suits) and, has the power to gas you so he can scare you to near death than some freak dressed up like a real scarecrow. Thats just me though.

Hmm. I thought we saw a fine amount of both Bats and Scarecrow in BB. Scarecrow was just a creep, but I thought the fear toxin hallucinations with him were pretty scary looking. That was the point, the victims needed to be gassed to truly fear him, rather than just be creeped out. It worked for the story, and the effects were good for the viewer.

Either way, I guarantee you we'll see more of both (Batman, obviously!) in TDK.

See, that's a pretty valid, reasonable point. If you tried backing up your opinions like this more often, rather than getting all defensive and resorting to name-calling, you'd probably have a lot less trouble.

I am glad to see Scarecrow back in TDK. Go Cillian!

I hope Crane has more ambition in THE DARK KNIGHT than just "securing a new gang of henchman to get a piece of the mob action".

this is pure awesome news. I mean seriously how can this film get any better from what we have of it so far. Go Cillian! and thank you warner bros, Nolan, whoever made the decision, gave it the go ahead. But one problem. how the hell do we hold off till 2008 knowing this!

Great news Cilian will be back. Whether he has a significant role or not, at least we'll get some closure on him from BB.

Great news that Scarecrow/Cillian is returning. He was one of, if not the best thing in Batman Begins.

I am so unbelievably happy that we finally have confirmation of Scarecrow's return. I was worried for a while, but it's great to see that he'll be back, and in full Scarecrow form.

Also, looks like he'll officially be the first villain to be featured in two Batman films by the same actor. As far as I know, no other villain has lasted more than a single film.

I think we're more likely to see a team-up between Joker and Scarecrow . . . if things get bloody between the two, it will more likely be for Joker's own insane narcissistic nature . . . Scarecrow didn't seem too advserse to playing the glorified henchman as he was for Ra's Al Guhl . . . .

and, can I just state that a looooong time ago, before any info really surfaced about the sequel, I was hoping that Scarecrow would have something to do w/ the manner in which Joker was j'born' . . . . this may not be the same kind of scenario, as I proposed that Scarecrow could unwittingly 'create' Joker w/ his fear gas, having Joker basically being sent off on a fear-gas perma-trip and then going after Scarecrow . . . but GODDAMN THIS MOVIE IS GONNA BE SIIIIIIIICK!!!!!

Just wondering when see's Scarecrow's mask in his first scene wouldn't there be a burn mark on the front. And if we do see Crane's face wouldn't there be burns on his face with taser Rachel shot into his face.
