Scarecrow probably will just have a small role in the film, not in it for long :yay:

He transforms further than this but I couldn't find a good pic anywhere

I have a theory about that actually. Remember it's just a theory and not any kind of spoiler:

The Joker is a member of the Scarecrows gang in the beginning of the movie. Something happens and Dr.Crane hits him with a lethal dose of his fear toxin, which drives the already unstable Joker off the trolly. He gets away and mutilates his face as a result, becoming Nolan's Joker. Joker kills the Scarecrow, deciding he has to take revenge on everyone who he percieves as having wronged him, the cops,Harvey Dent and The Batman.

Hey Everyone,
My name is Brandon and I am new to this website (yes, I am a NOOB) but I do have some valuable information. I was able to talk with an assistant about the filming last week and he told me that they filmed a scene where the Joker hangs Scarecrow. :wow: HANGS! I think that it is an awesome way to show how truly evil the Joker is. Hang the guy who is supposed to be real scary. Well I hope this info is correct otherwise I am gonna look like a total ass. But I did get the guy's e-mail so hopefully more to come!:yay:

I don't really want to see the Scarecrow get killed off. Maybe Batsy cuts the hangman's rope with a batarang (if this is indeed true)?

Yeah Nolan and co. made it pretty clear that they weren't going to make the mistake of killing off the villains like the previous movies did, so it seems very likely that he was full of sh** (of course it is possible to hang someone but to not kill them).

You know, if the rumor about Scarecrow getting hanged by the Joker is true, that would resemble a "particularly memorable" scene from Joker's Five-Way Revenge, where Batman is too late in getting to a thug that betrayed the Joker. I can see it happening that way... perhaps Scarecrow tortured/experimented on the Joker in Arkham when he was just a thug?

Not that I want an origin but a Scarecrow related origin for Joker would be kind of interesting

another thing to consider is that Scarecrow could probably survive the hanging, like Fresh Tendrils suggested, maybe Batman gets there, sees Scarecrow's been pulvarized and left for dead, and cuts him down?

Joker hanging Scarecrow would be great (ala Dark Victory).

Probably won't happen, though.

There's no reason Nolan can't change his mind on the no killing villains thing.

I think it's a great idea whether he lives or dies. Face it we don't really need to keep Scarecrow around for movie 3. Finish him proper.

Agreed - Joker hanging him would be an incredible image, not to mention...when was the last time a villain turned on and killed a fellow villain in a Batman film?

I'm hoping it's true.

Ledger wasn't even filming this past week. He was in NYC.

he could get cut down and wear the hangman's noose around his neck

I'd be okay with them killing of Scarecrow, since he's already been back a second time. Sure, i'd prefer him to survive, but just the fact that Nolan let him survive one film is enough. I mean even the comics, some villains get killed off eventually.

i honestly think that the scarcrows only purpose in the story will be to show how the batman/dent/gordon alliance is cleaning up gotham. he will be captured in the beginning then the joker will arrive.

I just find something wrong with the idea of the Joker simply hanging someone.

Not that I would be terrible offended with it if it showed up - the notion just doesn't scream Joker to me.

Well it did happen in "Joker's Five-Way Revenge."

But I think the fact that it's Scarecrow gives it just the kind of flair Joker would love. Hanging the villain who already wears a noose around his neck.

IF Scarecrow had a noose around his neck, I could buy it. Just like I think if Joker hung the Hangman - that would be very Joker like. Irony is funny.

As it stands though, this doesn't seem ironic.

Though, again, I am not to strongly against it.

I just don't think many people would expect to see a hanging in a Batman movie or any superhero movie for that matter. Villains usually die in spectacular explosions or falls. To see Joker do this to another villain would be pretty fcked up to the average viewer. Doesn't matter if comic Scarecorw wears a noose or not
