The Nolan Scarecrow grew on me heh.. most comic scarecrow interpretations aren't really scary. The haunted knight though, scarecrow's face changes so thats kinda cool.
Cillian was sick, he made the character, when he says "It's the Batman !", excited and scared at the same time, in Arkham, it's one of the best moment in BB.

I like when he comes in riding on a horse, it was really cool. But I loved it when he was tasered and dragged off screaming. I wish that was a reoccurring joke in Nolan's batman... SIGH, a man can dream though.

Ha well in a lot of interpretations he basically shows up and gets his ass handed to him cuz he's a wimp but I would love to just see Batman or Joker punk him BB style in the next one lol

Scarecrow can do the Batdance by Prince. Im going for the overkill so he can die too.

Yup. He's saying "don't hurt me... wink". How about a few moments later, when Batman is about to give him "a taste of his own medicine". He seemed to be looking forward to it. And then - did he recoil from the Batcreature he saw? Not exactly... he seemed kind of fascinated by it, until the (honest) answers he was giving weren't well received. Then he shut down. But he didn't scream, cry, or pull away. He was DOWN with the trip.

Everyone reacted differently to the toxin, which was a nice touch.

eh, he's got to be in this film for at least a small cameo, they can't be accused of leaving the loose ends hanging about

I want more scarecrow this time! No stupid 10-second clips!

I loved the way crane was a whacked out doctor just about able to hide his crazyness.. I hope he gets quite a bit of air time in TDK now hes gone completely nuts. We didnt see much of him as the Scarecrow in BB, he was just beginning imo, much like Batman.

Great news that Scarecrow/Cillian is returning. He was one of, if not the best thing in Batman Begins.

I was just looking through the thread & I found this. The Scarecrow had all of 5 minutes of screen time. Although I thought Cillian Murphy was fine, Begins interpretation of Dr. Jonathan Crane didn't resemble anything I ever saw in the comics & was largely forgettable. I would have liked to have seen Ra's come back actually.

It's been said that his role in this movie is smaller than Begins. But much more important.

So in a sense, you're getting quality over quantity.

I'm just happy Scarecrow is coming back. That's the Gotham City I want to see. I want to see a Gotham populated with FREAKS and MOBSTERS.

that means no villains die, and a lot of them play a role in the plot. It's annoying how in most superhero movies the villains get one film and then either they 1) die or 2) disappear....it makes the "universe" of the superhero seem so much smaller....

I'm glad Nolan is POPULATING Batman's "universe" and not downsizing it with each film.

It'd be great to see Scarecrow having known Joker or treated him before.

Did anyone else get the fact that the way he delivered that line wasn't Nolan trying to cheese it up, but was in fact in character for Crane. He was saying it in a mocking tone like Batman isn't ****, since in truth their first encounter Crane/Scarecrow owned Batman lol. I just remember people complaining about that line the way it was delivered sounding kinda cheesy when it went over their heads that he was mocking Batman due to the ownage earlier.

Anyone think Zasz(sp?) will make a tiny appearance again? Right now, before you people that are already complaining there's too many characters in this film just stop. I'm not saying he'll have a 10 or even 5 minute scene just something small again.

He sounded crazy and like he was more excitied than scared.

I think the way he said it was perfect

I concur. Sometimes when I'm by myself, I'll say "He's here," in my best Cillian voice, then in a thug voice I'll bust out a little "Who?" after which, I go back to Murphy mode and finish off with a touch of, "The BAAHT-man!"

True story.

Uh.........I never said he was or sounded like he was scared. In my post I was saying since he owned Batman in their first encounter and made Bats jump out of a window cause he was on fire, he was saying it in a mocking tone kinda like "Bring it on Batman!"

Yea, it was nice how everyone else got spooked, but he understood "the power of fear", as Falcone so cheesily puts it. Scarecrow was creepy, casually malicious, and in control; Falcone was the cheesifier.

Love that!! I've used Cheese, Cheesy, Cheeseball and Cheesefest. Never seen, heard or thought of Cheesifier. sasquatchs, you just made my day.:woot:

He'll probably only have about 5 minutes of screen time. It'll be in Act one, is my guess.
