Scarecrow was great. One of the things that disappointed me most about BB was how down-played his character was. Cillian Murphy gave a fantastic performance, based on what little he was given.

cilian murphy is awesome, hands down. he really gave off a disturbing/corrupt vibe. I just remember watching previews for BB and being like "ZOMG sCaReCrOw!i!i!"

then i watched the film and was disappointed with his screentime. His scenes were still uberly amazing though, imo

Hey man Liam is one of my fav actors. He is the ultimate mentor! I would look up to him...but that's maybe because he is 6'4 lol.

Anyway schindlers list and darkman rule!

imo..

You know what would be awesome?

If Scarecrow killed Rachel in TDK.

It'd make up for how he went out like a ***** in BB. Seriously. A taser to the face....by Rachel, in such an anticlimactic way. What a joke.

Oh, that'd be nice :csad: A sythe to the face!

Ya, I really wish Scarecrow got more face time, like a scene of what happened to Crane after he got tasered. Like him inside
an abandoned building in the narrow all wigged out and humming a lullaby and planning on destroying gotham or something

the lullaby thing would be pretty cool!

it would be great if the scarecrow uses fear gas and we see a 'fear' joker

i wish people would read threads sigh

haha the only reason im so up-to-date (i think) is cause i used to lurk here a lot on the spidey3 boards.....i joined towards the end of the spidey3 hype when the hype started for TDK:woot:

I think it'd be cool if Crane tries to kill the Joker with a pitchfork and in the end Mr. J hangs him.:woot: :brucebat:

- Crane?
- No, Scarecrow.

I swear I completely crapped my pants right there. They had to remove me from the theater immediately but at least I got to see one of the most memorable moments in the history of Batman movies.

Seriously, Murphy nailed that role and I was so glad with the way they handled my favourite Batman villain. Everything about him was so spot on! The lines, the creepiness, the distorted voice, the hallucinations, the ice-cold eyes etc. Yes, his screentime was quite limited but he sure made the most of it so it didn't really bother me. Under-using is not as bad as over-using IMO. You know what I mean? Every time Murphy was on screen, I was completely lovin' it. I never felt dissappointed about the fact that his role wasn't any bigger. He still had some of the most badass scenes in the entire movie(gassing Falcone, gassing Batman). So it's not about the screentime but it's about what the character/actor does with the time he is given.

I think Batman Begins handled Scarecrow perfectly. Ra's was kinda the main bad guy, but they established Crane enough to steal all his scenes...then leave his character not only alive but on the loose. Basically leaving us wanting more from him.

I counted, actually. It was under 2 minutes. I'm not joking.

So it was a great performance according to some in here, under 2 minutes. To me, the BB scarescrow was just a guy in some potato sack mask. There really was no development of character to define the actual SC from the comics.

Its not like SC really was a well developed character anyway. I dunno those 2 mins were like the best villain in the batman series next to nicholson so far.

I agree, in the comics he comes across as a sort of geeky creepy little guy and that's exactly how Cillian Murthy came across.

The scene in which he is on a fire breathing horse with the grungy voice box, then shocked getting dragged away like a squealing girl, diminishing the illusion that he is big and scary, was a decent enough exit imo than him being the main bad guy with an ability fear gas and a mask, then killed, everyone saved, hurray!
