The Dark Knight Scarecrow

He'll probably only be seen for a few minutes but I would like to see the Scarecrow will a completely new outfit & mask, something like we saw in "The New Batman Adventures".

Unfortunately, it looks like he won't even be in the straight jacket he wore at the end of BB. Spy pics of him on set show him in a business suit like he wore for the majority of BB.

From the spy picks it looks like his costume is the same as in Batman Begins. I was hoping for a more comic book style costume. The Scarecrow's costume in Gotham Knight would have worked well, as the mask is clearly inspired from Begins, but he also has much more Scarecrow themed clothing and a hat as well.

Same here. I hope the Nolans wrote him to be a bit more like the comics IE: loony.

For some reason I have a feeling he isn't going to be much different than he was in BB.

The "spy-pics" that have been taken wouldn't indicate anything all that different from BB. I'm sure though that that scene won't be Scarecrow's only scene.

From what we know it probably will be he's only scene. He gets captured by Batman, I doubt he will be able to escape after that to make any further appearances.

Possibly, but let's hope his "supporting" role will be a little more "supporting" than that. Haha.

I think that with Heath Ledgers death and the unwillingness from alot of fans, and probably the film crew themselves, to re-cast the Joker for Batman 3, if the Joker was going to have a role in the film i think it could be given to Scarecrow instead, unless it was a role that was totally dependent on the character of the Joker.

I just really don't see them re-casting The Joker. Something with the Scarecrow could come into play. Or maybe someone completely new...like The Riddler or Catwoman?

I agree. I don't think Scarecrow will be present in BB3. There are so many other characters to explore, and since there is no story or script or even a greenlight for the third film yet, they don't have any reason to be substituting character roles.

See, what Nolan needs to do is make the Scarecrow actually scary. As of now he's just a guy who runs around in a suit and scarecrow mask to get his kicks.

I still think Murphy was pretty poor as scarecrow crane he completely missed the geniuos outcast of the comics he was just boring not as bad as falcone but pretty standard psycho villain fare imo.

The Scarecrow eh? You know, in terms of costume I think he should look a little trampy, like he's been having a rough time. Whereas The Joker wants to be noticed The Scarecrow wants to be dark, hidden and shock people. That's his main aim. Now, a business suit fitted him in Batman Begins. He was still wearing his mask of sanity. But at the end I was given the impression that he had let it slip completely. In any case, it doesn't matter, Murphy has the part down to a tee. He is an acomplished actor and Nolan is a clever director. I'm sure that his appearance will satisfy us.

But his standard psycho rutine was far too predictable imo suit or not scarecrow is more an outcast genius with a love of hoarding books gone insane not a guy with GQ model looks with predictable and boring dialouge. i wasnt truely sold on him at all i always thought a more out there actor like jeff goldbulm would have brought crane to life far better then murphy who is a good actor but imo wrong for the part.

Jeff Goldblum as The Scarecrow? I don't think so. Cillian nailed it, IMO.

Agreed. I believe that Cillian did sign for several movies, just in case.
