yeah, his screaming like a little girl after getting taken down by the dawsons creek chick left me in awe.:wow:

Why do you have to be so negative about it all? Cillian Murphy was not the problem, his costume was even the problem. No, with Batman Begins the only fault I found was Katie Holmes. I mean, I'm not alone here right? There is something wrong with her face? She kept smirking. At inappropriate times. I really mean this, is she somehow disfigured?

I'm fairly confident in saying that the majority of people who saw BB disliked Katie Holmes.

AHEM, well, not just katie holmes. personally, i just wasnt pleased with the way scarecrow was done. everything from his suit and tie look (scarecrow is becoming a lawyer!) to his male model-esque pretty boy look (wheres the creepy lookin arkham dwelling weidro?) to his lame takeout. just didnt like it. IF he is in the sequel, i hope he is better then he was in BB.

Cillian is a pretty creepy looking IMO

He's definitely in TDK, and I would think that since Scarecrow has completely lost his mind at this point Murphy's performance will echo that of near the end of BB.

here's a quote that sums up what i thought of him: "i dont know whether i wanna punch you or kiss you" :o

as for him in TDK, thats what ive been hearing. i hope hes got some kinda role, but i am betting that it will be short and small.

From what we know, it looks like he will only be in one scene, near the beginning of the movie, but hopefully Murphy will bring a worthy performance that will make his time in the movie memorable.

There's a certain look he gets in his eyes that really can freak you out!

If Burton had directed BB and made everything the same as what Nolan has done, you would be worshipping it all right now. That's a fact.

i knew this was coming:whatever: . no, i wouldnt. not everything burton did for batman i like. just cuz i prefer his take doesnt mean i "worpship" his films. i liked BB too, but just like every film, it had its strength and weakness, and IMHO, this was a major weakness.

It's not only this, you bash nearly every single thing about the film, as well as elements of TDK. It's one thing to prefer one director over another, but to be such an extremist that you can't even respect Nolan's vision is a little weird.

I see three things on you that would contradict what you say; but I will just leave it be.

they said in BB "Crane was just a pawn" and that's pretty much going to sum up his role in Dark Knight.

It will be similar to Christopher Lee's role in Star Wars III. He will be in an early scene and killed off to make the villain more psychotic. :bat:

Thats a really good comparison, except I doubt he will be killed.

thats true for some people. When eli roth wrote cabin fever the studios hated it so all he did was put david lynchs name on the script and suddenly they loved it. THey said it was very lynchian or lynch at his best and it was word for word the same thing they had already read the only change was the name on the front page.

Boo hoo. Crane is a coward and a weakling, and this has been covered thoroughly in the comics. But I suppose you wanted to see some sort of super Scarecrow that immediately snatched the tazer out of thin air, then broke it with his bare hands and laughed.

Yeah, as if him tugging his costume around the halls of Arkham wouldn't look suspicious at all. :whatever: Not to mention that he'd have to take the time to undress and put the thing on in front of the inmates that he's tormenting. So silly. The way it was handled in the movie makes more sense. Remember, it was Scarecrow Begins just as much as Batman, and this is Scarecrow in his early stages. Now he's lost his job and his sanity, and has nothing to lose by taking on the persona full time. I'm not saying that we'll see a fully dressed up Scarecrow in TDK, just that in the context of Begins, it would have made little sense.

if they DID team up for some reason...id love some sort of reenactment of this...

The way you put is so right, its not like Crane has ever been a physical threat to batman, he relies on the mind to fight back. The fear themes of BB went perfect with the Scarecrow character in general, I just wish his last scene wasnt so brief and short.

What seems to be the first official pic of this masked freak who remained hidden for a long time.....(and to let the pic thread breathe).....
