Apocalypse Scarlet Witch Or Polaris

If they do go for Wanda then I hope we get a real interpretation rather than Jean 2.0 (Seriously has anybody actually realised that AOU SW is pretty much jean with telekinesis and getting in peoples heads?)

I agree with that, yes. Her probability-manipulating power had some great moments in the comics, like transforming matter and objects from one thing to another.

Just watched the Avengers. Wanda is adorable. Her powers look great. Not so much probability manipulations but I got some hints.

Her Avenger costume is kinda cool.

What about Rooney Mara as Scarlet Witch?

Rooney is Kate Mara's sister so that would be cool if both of them are part of Fox's Marvel Universe!

wouldn't Polaris be about the same age as cyclops, jean ect, esp if that little girl was Polaris

No idea how old Polaris would be in the movie version, since there was not even a mention or anything about her. Now Wanda, if they really make her Pietro's twin sister, she would be 27/28 years old. Emmy Rossum would be great.

Now Saoirse was my choice for Jean.

I like Saoirse Ronan for Wanda.

My choice as well for Wanda. :)

Whedon wanted her badly for Avengers. He even modeled Wanda after her. I'd be pretty cool if she ended up playing Scarlet Witch in the X-Men universe instead. :D

She was on the shortlist for Jean Grey (along with Sophie Turner).

Honestly, I think Polaris would work better for the storyline than Wanda. Don't know who would play her, though.

I think it's just her look. She has that Scarlet Witch look down pat to me. I think she's perfect and would be awesome in the X-Verse.

I wonder why she didn't get the Avengers part.

I'm glad Singer and Co. went with Sophie for Jean though. That was just too perfect of a choice to pass up.

I think I want and like Lorna better so yeah my money's on her.

Imagine the backlash (yet again) if Singer announced a Wanda actress soon.

I'm happy with the cast that we have now.

I don't think a Scarlet Witch is needed in Singer's X-men films.

Agreed, but speaking for myself, I wanna see her in them just cause I think Wanda's got more potential for an X-Men film and it'll be awesome to Mags, Quicksilver, and Wanda on screen together.

I'm thrilled with the cast we have now too. It won't kill me if she doesn't appear. It's just the inner fan in me.

Too many characters here who need to have their potential met first. Scott, Jubilee, Storm, Psylocke, Apocalypse and Archangel all need their due and screen time on top of characters like Mags, Quicksilver, Moira, Nightcrawler, Prof X, Jean and Mystique.

We do know he has a younger Sister in actual continuity so if they decide to introduce her as a supporting character I hope they go with making her Lorna. Unless Singer has an idea that rivals his Quicksilver one Wanda is best left out. I don't want to see her added just because they needed space to fill.

True. If anything, if they do use Polaris, it could prove to be even better. I think I'm just really excited and want too much. :oldrazz:

1 more girl wouldn't hurt.

It's gonna be tough enough to balance the female roles that are already in though. One more can work if they want to focus on the Magneto family, but anyone else added at this point is pretty much mute character or extended cameo territory imo. Everyone wants more characters then complains when the film doesn't have the time to develop. Remember how happy and understanding people were about Rogue?

We have 4 female fan favs, 2 of which are Storm and Jean. They have a raging fanbase who will complain if either one gets underdeveloped. Then we have Lawrence and Byrne who are gonna get alot of screen time with their heavy ties to the new trilogy. They really have an extremely solid female line up this go time around.

Also, there's Olivia Munn's Psylocke who I think might get a decent amount of time herself.

I really enjoyed Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron
especially the scenes where she zapped Cap down the stairs and moved in a fast/jerky fashion through the metal doors, where the stopped the train and where she created a force field on the bridge to stop the blasts.

Wanda was one of the best things in the film and Fox really missed a trick in having her in the X-Men franchise earlier on (I will add that Age of Ultron, in my view, was not that good overall with all the endless destruction and murmuring/gabbling dialogue).

Avengers version of Quicksilver was inferior to the X-Men version
but he's dead anyway, so who cares

It's now looking less likely that we will get our own Wanda in the X-Men unless her powers are redefined to be far closer to the comics and she is depicted very differently.

Same here. Wanda was awesome in that movie.

But the Avengers Quicksilver actually looked and acted like his comic counterpart and was essential to the plot. :oldrazz:

I really liked Scarlett witch in the new avengers film. I also prefer quicksilver in dofp and prefer his characterisation. It made perfect sense.

I actually don't think quicksilver was all that relevant in avengers tbh, obviously longer screen time but I wouldn't say more impact that dofp

Looked like guy taken from german techno parade, not comic Quicksilver.

Lol, I totally agree with you. Only good thing I liked about Quicksilver was his accent, but the personality was not there at all for Quicksilver, DOFP captured the personality and his hair was dirty blond so it wasn't on par with the comics.
