Scott Cooper's Hostiles (Bale, Pike)

Yeah those pics (well versions of those) aren't new. They've been posted in the Dick Cheney biopic thread.

First Val Kilmer. Now Bale. I look forward to Fatflek.

Did I hear it right that he and Mann are talking about working on something after this? Around 4:ish...

It does sound like that. I love DP/30's interviews -- you really get a great understanding of the actor.

Yes you did. He was going to do the Ferrari biopic but pulled out due to health reasons. Now he just finished filming as Cheney. :funny:

Also Amy get's him.

It's around the 6.30 mark. :awesome:

I love that he mentioned (and remembered) that she was his partner during his Batman audition. LOL that's probably the only time Amy acted with a regular sized Bale. :funny:

Has anyone seen this? None of my local theaters are playing it. :waa:

EW gave it a glowing review. They ranked Bale’s performance as his 2nd best (below American Psycho, above The Fighter).

It wont play here until the end of January.

Not playing anywhere near me for a few weeks either. If I can't go, I will have to resort to the dark arts.

But looking at the general reviews it's decent with Bale making it better than it should be. But as we can see they thought it would be an awards contender with the TIFF release and then a December limited release date.

Saw this the other day and was very impressed. Bale is superb and so is Rosamund Pike who was a highlight.
Wasn’t a big fan of Cooper’s previous films and thought this was easily his best. The start of the film is one of the more shocking and upsetting in quite some time.
