Need help! my wife is going to be Harley for comic cons this fall, I'm going as Scott, since w/ a baseball cap n beard i look just like him, but those military fatigues are custom i think? Can anyone help me identify the type of camp they are? trying to find as close a match for Baltimore con and NYCC. the arm patch looks like Anubis from Egyptian mythology.

I have a theory about who Eastwood might be playing.

There have been rumors circling that Deathstroke plays a part in the film, yet we've gotten no casting announcements. Slade hasn't traditionally been part of the Squad in the comics until recently, but that doesn't mean that he won't be part of the film series. It almost seems wrong to exclude him, given how popular the character is.

Slade is traditionally portrayed as an older man, though there are rumors (and I don't know how accurate these are) that Eastwood's uniform has the name "Wilson" on it. While it's entirely possible that Eastwood might be playing Deathstroke (just younger than we're used to) I think he may actually be playing Joseph Wilson, Slade's son. In the comics, Joseph had his throat slashed as a kid, survived, and later goes on to become Jericho. While I wouldn't rule out the possibility of seeing Jericho down the line, that seems a little unlikely.

What I do think could happen is a slight variation on the traditional Deathstroke story. Joseph has followed in his father's footsteps and become a high-level military officer. He gets assigned (like Rick Flagg) to Task Force X to keep everyone in line. He then gets killed or badly injured on the mission, which is what ultimately causes Slade (at this point, still a high-ranking military official) to go rogue, ultimately turning him into the Deathstroke we all know and love.

As for having "Wilson" on his uniform, there are set photos of him with "GQ" or "CQ".

Back when they were filming in May there was a certain scene being filmed. A fan who visited the set said it showed soldiers running away from Eastwood's character. Take it FWIW.

Yeah, the uncertainty surrounding who would be Steve Trevor, Hal Jordan and associated actors like Scott Eastwood, Chris Pine was really bad.

At least we can movie ahead now.

nah, that doesn't fit with him being a military member of the suicide squad task force.

I recall reading somewhere in this forum the idea that they might be hunting enchantress. i can't remember seeing enchantress as part of the SS, or, seeing her walking along with them. Her being a cave explorer as it seems running into something that turns her into enchantress, and probably when she tries to do the exorsism in the bath will have enchantress take over her completely and make things worse,
makes me assume the entire force is after her because she is a genuine threat for some sorts of reason ( bar Joker whom i think is not part of the SS but rather a within story of Joker and Harley on how Harley became Harley).

i admit i'm not privilidged to have knowledge of the enchantress' canon in the comics, but i assume that she's able to 'spell' or 'enchant' people to act in a certain behaviour - with or against their will. Perhaps thats why Amanda Waller is the person of choice to 'handle' the SS herself stating her job is having people act 'against their own interest', which MIGHT block enchantress' powers over them because they are already acting against their own will. who knows.

Scott Eastwood does not seem like one of the 'specials' in the suicide squad walking among them. without being degenerative, he's seemingly more like a general military soldier excorting the ss. i don't see a nightwing role for him fit in this pack. which, in contrast to the SS, makes him vunerable against enchantress because he's not actually acting against his own will/own interest so his 'mind' might be open for a 'spell' or 'chant'.

what i could see happening is the squad being spread apart through some incident or occasion, perhaps the helicopter crash, and Scott facing mano a mano with enchantress with her spelling him, perhaps simply through touching him when he wants to apprehand her - and enchanting him to indeed become 'deathstroke'.

otherwise, he could have a minor role to slowly boost his acting career 'simply' as a military soldier that is expendable along the way.

edit: forgetting slade wilson which will be played by chris pine, is actually deathstroke so he can't be deathstroke in any way.
i don't think chris pine is old enough to be concidered his father, so i don't think he's Grant Wilson either.

How about Wade Defarge?
Then again, Jericho would be an interesting character too for him to play.
