Eh. I think the core of Scream has actually been the combo of Sid, Dewey, and Gale, as long as one of them is around it can continue to be good.

I just don't like the mentality that there's no way to successfully continue a horror franchise beyond it's original heroine no matter how awesome they are (Laurie/Sidney). Especially with Laurie, the problem was that the actress no longer wanted to be a part of it and many of the faces behind the plotline that killed her off twice were not the same as the ones that created her.

Williamson hasn't let me down yet in any of his projects. It's a proven fact that when he's behind something it's good quality stuff. (Scream 1, 2, Dawson's, Vampire Diaries.), but when you take him away from that they begin to suffer. The REAL heart of the Scream series is HIM. Look at how Scream 3 was mediocre or just average when he wasn't involved. Even I Know What You Did Last Summer to I Still Know shows a great drop in quality because he was no longer involved.

People simply don't give him enough credit. The man is what made the Scream series, Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley. If he's continued to be involved, Sidney or no, I will support these films, because I know he's got something crafty up his sleeve.

Yeah, I have that one also. It is basically what they are re-releasing, a glamorized figure that basically is a sculpture...

I hated how the feet never made it really easy for the damn thing to stand...

I'd love for that. I was always disappointed and kind of surprised a three-pack from the first Scream with Billy, Stu and Sidney was never made, with Billy and Stu both having removable robes and masks.

Interesting enough we never see Stu or Billy taking off a mask but those figures would of been cool . I had a really nice Ghostface figure in the late 90s but I gave it to one of my friends.

That's occured to me actually, how in the movie, Billy and Stu are never unmasked (Mrs. Loomis wasn't, either).

On another Scream 4-related note, it appears NECA will be releasing an improved version of their Ghostface figure at a later date, after hearing how overwhelmingly disliked the initial figure was.

That's why she worked so well, because after she is revealed and you look back through the movie you do see the subtle hints peppered through out the movie that allude to her being the killer.

She even sort of tells on herself in one scene with Gale.

I have the old Movie Maniacs Ghostface figure as well, along with a bunch of other Horror figures. I'll happily add the improved NECA version to my collection.
