Speaking of figures, I used to have a movie maniacs Scream figure way back in the late 90's. I think I still have it along with my Jason Vorhees and Michael Myers.

That's the one I was talking about , I had the Freddy also, it came with the mini freddy from Dream Warriors , gave that one away also.

I have the old Movie Maniacs Ghostface figure as well, along with a bunch of other Horror figures. I'll happily add the improved NECA version to my collection.

I have that Ghostface as well and go look at it again, it's wayyyyy better than this new NECA piece of crap. I mean, yeah they tried to improve it, but the mask is still off and the pose (poseable or not) looks retarted.

No kidding. Even though some details are off on the Movie Maniacs Ghostface, it still looks mostly movie-accurate compared with the NECA version, or at least the initial one NECA did.

Idk - Sidney dying / offing herself in this film could be done.

Depends on how strong of a new protagonist they create. She prolly should have died at the end of 3 if they were going to kill her off though. That was HER story - and we already know, she's kinda just the retired player come back to play coach this time around.

Laurie Strode didn't help us ease into another protagonist. She was just gone.

Now if they had Strode's son from H20 (even though it's bland josh hartnett) being stalked after Laurie died in Resurrection, that would have made it a lot better IMO. That "crossfade" of storylines.

Yeah, but Hartnett was like a big teen star around Resurrection. His schedule alone would have been at least a bit chaotic. Then again it didn't stop Depp in cameoing in Freddy's Dead.

Im not feeling this trailer at all, It's almot like the movie is too self aware. It's ok to crack a few jokes here and there but its almost like these characters have a blue print and map on how to survive, maybe its just me.

Nah I have, actually own all 3 on dvd in the trilogy boxset. What I meant to get at is the tone of the movie looks like it will play out in most cases like say hayden is trapped in a situation and ghostface is chasing her, then they'll have her stop and say out loud "ok in most horror movies I should do a,b and c in that order to survive". Thats what Im getting at, like there flurting with scary movie/parody line in a sense ya know. Another ex is at the end of the trailer anthony anderson says "I'll be right back" then looks at brody an has the exchange, who really does that? I dont mind if the tone is the same as in the first movie but I dont need a walk through commentary in each murder ya know.
