Daredevil Season 1, Episode 6 "Condemned" (USE SPOILER TAGS!)

Cops sure took their time before running into the building.
Must be the budget constraints.

"We are very much alike"
A lot of villains say this to the story protagonist.

Yes, well, the entire episode was composed by things we have seen elsewhere
(the enemy eventually helps the hero and sacrifices his life for him; the farewell to the too-good-to-be-mine love interest, etc.).
Point is: this is the best take on these tropes, ever.

Best line for me

'I am not big on guns'
'Yes little stick, much better'

Excellent episode. I still hate Fisk's mannerisms but they were less pronounced when he was in villain mode so it was acceptable. All the characters except Fisk are really solid for me/ Vladimir was incredible.

The hero framed for the villain's actions is literally my least favorite plot device in fiction so I'll see where it goes from here. Its good enough so ( to me ) a lukewarm Fisk and a single bad plot element won't keep me away.

Steamteck - You don't like Fisk in this? Genuine question...I was under the impression he's universally loved but I haven't read much beyond critic's reviews and a load of posts on SHH.

IMO, Fisk's mannerisms and visible insecurities here make him more relatable, I feel. I can't imagine him not having those characteristics, he'd be a generic mob boss without them. I know he's probably not the Fisk of the comics but maybe they'll build to him being that in the future when he's increased his empire and isn't awkward around women anymore?

Just finished this episode (yeah, I'm way behind), and this is my favorite episode yet. Dark, intense, but filled with some great one-liners (mostly from Vladimir) to keep the episode lighter during some downer moments. The conversation between Murdock and Fisk is pure gold, and although I hate Fisk I think the show has made him not just a pure evil man, but a bad man who believes that he has noble goals and he is trying to make his home a better place. I wish other MCU villains received the same treatment as Wilson Fisk, quite frankly; maybe we won't keep hearing how weak and unmemorable the villains are in the movies.

I wish both AOS and Agent Carter were on Netflix so they can receive the same kind of attention DD has gotten. All the Marvel TV shows should be like this.

The conversation between Matt and Fisk was excellent. I love the way this show executes simple ideas like that.
