Excellent! The days of this board being completely deserted are over! :woot:

...hopefully.

It might help if CN didn't air one episode for every two months.

Fantastic episode. Dark Knight Returns armor, the countless homages, Batman and Superman switching costumes, and of course, the yellow \S/.

Fun episode. Loved the part where Jimmy was about to call Superman a dick. lol

Both those stories were in the episode. :awesome:

Nice homage to superdickery.com.

Pros:
I love the shoutouts to the great moments in Superdickery.com as well as using red kryptonite similar to Smallville and to a lesser extent Lois and Clark but still using red kryptonite lasting 24 hours but has random effects which brought up the thoughts what would happen to Smallvile Clark if he was exposed to Smallville Red K as Superman.

seeing the yellow s on the red cape was classic

Batman vs Superman as well as Batman and Superman:Superfriends was great to see

apparently we saw the silver age Superman/Donnerverse Superman universe which was all right in some extent

Batman and Superman switching costumes

love seeing Superman, friends, villians, Kandor and Metropolis

Lex Luthor criminal mastermind(was he played by Clancy Brown or someone else because he sounded alot like Clancy). kind of made me want to see A Lex Luthor/Joker team up.

Cons:
Lex Luthor not a evil buisness man and is overweight

Clark acting clumsy

how obsessed Jimmy was with trying to find out who Superman really was. not even silver age Jimmy was like that all the time and neither was alot of Jimmy(including Smallville's Henry James Olsen)

end result: 8.5/10 :super::super::ybat::supes::batman::batman:

Superman's turned into a real d--

Different person!

Lex Luthor criminal mastermind(was he played by Clancy Brown or someone else because he sounded alot like Clancy). kind of made me want to see A Lex Luthor/Joker team up.

Cons:

Could be wrong but I think it was Kevin Michael Richardson. I figured they'd use chubby Lex after seeing Rothul's neck.

I loved this episode! All the references to Mummy Batman to Superman with his pope to TDKR we're just amazing! The fans had long waited for the world's finest episode and when they finally showed the episode it was nothing like anyone thought it would, thats the most beatiful part of this episode, it wasn't some typical Batman+Superman save the day story, it was a tribute to so many things in the Silver Age while also paying tribute to the vs. stories with a happy ending.

Loved the montage of the villains too. Metallo, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Toyman then Brainiac showing up at the end. Even Batman bringing up Batmite was a given.

This episode was outstanding, I loved all the nods and homages to different storyline from the silver age era (superdickery) as well as to the modern era story lines (like Batman: Hush, Batman : TDKR, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies) The characterization of Batman, Superman, Lois, Lex, Krypto, Jimmy and Perry was spot on prefect. Loved the villain montage of Superman's Rogue Gallery of Villains (Metallo, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Kandorian villain Jax-ur ,Toyman and Brainiac)

Luthor using a Green k ring, The Red-K necklace and signal watch,

We got to see The Silver Age (fortress of Solitude), The Daily Planet building from STAS, Jimmy's Superman shed, I loved going back to The Batcave .

Loved the opening teaser featuring King tut vs. Batman and Robin and I'm pretty sure the woman taking the pics and reporting the confrontation was Vicki Vale .

Batman vs. Superman fight was awesome we got a really good smackdown between them where they both showed each other up .

I can't wait to see Batman and Wonder Woman's episode before the Trinity episode that was teased by TPTB .

Here's the whole episode for those who didn't get a chance to see it or just wants to watch it again .

I loved this episode. I was smiling the whole way through. I was afraid that it would be another "Superman is evil and Batman beats him because he's so awesome" type of thing. I never expected to see Superdickery outside of those comics scans. I'm happy they actually showed how easily Superman can take on Batman even with the suit from TDKR.

Was Andre Braugher the voice of Lex?

Thank God Johns was able to help them get the rights.

Firstly... this is actually the 5th episode of season 3, so it should probably say ''Episode 57'' in the thread title.

Secondly... yeah I think for sure that was Kevin Michael Richardson as Lex Luthor. Sounded a bit like his Despero to me.

-----

This was a fantastic episode. :woot: And if its a teaser for whats coming for the rest of season 3 then consider me excited.

It was a really fun story, which didn't take the typical ''Batman vs. Superman'' approach. The superdickery references were a bunch of fun and Kyrpto was terrific.

No complaints clearly... except I hope they keep the animation budget up for these final episodes. I remember the final season of The Batman took a dip in quality.

And did Diedrich Bader sounded a little deeper than usual to anybody else?

This episode had it all, it had so many nods to so many different eras of Superman it was incredible (Silver age Superman, Dick Donner's Superman, jerk Superman from Superman III, etc). Superman was definitely the silver age cheesy version here and I loved that. I also loved how Clark was spot on Christopher Reeve aswell just so good to see that version of Clark again. The fact they managed to fit everything into 20 mins just shows how talented the writers are, I mean we got to see classic characters Lex Luthor, Lois Lane, Perry (don't call me chief ) White, Jimmy Olsen (including giant Turtle Jimmy), Lana Lang (well I think thats who Superman was having a picnic with), Toyman, Krypto, Mettallo, Mr Mxyzpltlk & Brainiac (the classic version). I'm not sure if I missed anyone out but it was great to see all those character and with the episode not feeling cluttered. Also seeing a very Timmverse styled Daily Planet, the bottled city of Kandor (Superman shaking it was hilarious) and the Fortress of Solitude was fantastic. I couldn't believe we got a Dark Knight Returns fight between Batman (with a little help from Krypto) and Superman, I never would've thought we'd have seen that on this show, amazing really. I also feel this is more a way it would go down, Batman not giving up but Superman obviously coming out on top
1 more minute and Batman would have been dead

I loved that Superman was the star of this episode Batman really did take a backseat. Batman's you diseased maniac line was a great nod to Superman the Movie. Roger Rose was superb as this version of Superman just hit it perfectly and the small amount we saw hios Clark he nailed that aswell. Superman's look was brilliant, very similar to STAS but with a classic spin on it, seeing the yellow S on the cape was a joy to see. This is definitely my favourite episode of the show ever (not surprisingly as I'm a massive Superman fan) and it was pure fun, it had it all, great action, great comedy moments and a decent story. 5 out of 5.

PS. I can't wait for Superman's next appearance in the trinity episode coming later in the series. I'm still holding out hope for a small appearance in an opening segment and a JLA reunion episode.

^ That wasn't Batman who said that line. It was Superman disguised as him.
Pros:
• References to multiple other versions of Superman
• modernized Jimmy(but with classic look)
• Robin at the beginning
• Classic colors and yellow logo
• Reeve-style Clark and Superman
• Superman is the main character

Cons:
• Too many DKR references. I hated that book!
• Overuse of evil Superman vs good Batman. Why can't it be the other way around? Superman's the greatest superhero ever, Batman's just a dark, powerless rip-off.
• Cape was too short

"Our wrappings are covered in buttermilk. The one thing that repels Pharaoh rays" :woot:

A+ episode. You gotta love all the homages stuffed into this one. I'm no Superman fan but I sure loved this episode, probably in my top 5. Great way to bring the show back after that long absence. This was another episode that would probably turn some of the skeptics into fans. I loved watching Batman beat down Superman! And King Tut's appearance in the teaser was great. For some reason I really like him when I was a kid watching the Adam West show.

This was a really enjoyable episode. And i loved seeing all of the references to past comic storylines.

Along with the cameo from King Tut who was created for the Adam West Batman series.

Holy **** this episode was filled with awesome sauce. The nods to SuperDickery and TDKR made it that much more geekgasmic.
