Quite possibly the best season finale so far in the series. Season 2 was my favorite but this finale has me begging for me. I may even consider this the best season ever - hard to say. 3 episodes towards the end were rushed and seemed like filler but this finale more than made up for it. Awesome job writers awesome job. We may never get a season like this moving forward.

I didn't enjoy it like I enjoyed season 1 and 2. I felt many episodes were the same and the dialogue was the same with different words each episode. Chase was the best villain in a long time though. He made the season for me because I stopped after episode 12, because the season was boring imo. I binged the rest of it this past weekend, though it was predictable that Chase was the villain he was great in every scene.

I loved season 5. I kept dreading it would disappoint me, but it never did. Maybe because season 4 was so awful.

Now the only question is...can the producers keep up the momentum or will they stumble and fall again?

Personally, I hope they've finally put a nail in the coffin when it comes to having Oliver deal with his inner darkness already. 5 seasons and each one deals with Oliver struggling to find the inner hero in himself.

Can we finally move on from that and have a Green Arrow who enjoys being Green Arrow?

Honestly, I still think nothing will ever top Arrow season 2, that was the peak of Arrow with my favorite roster of characters including Sara Lance and Roy Harper. The season 2 flashbacks were my favorite. Arrow season 2 is not only my favorite Arrow season but it's the best season of the Arrowverse IMO, not even Flash season 1 tops it. Arrow season 5 had the best season finale of the series, and it has definitely surpassed Arrow season 1 in my book.

Season 2 is the standard. Season 5 is the best since season 2, but even still, I don't think S5 TOUCHES S2.

Okay, season 5 has 2 things going for it:

- Spectre of the Gun: a simply great standalone episode that tackles gun control in a surprisingly balanced way, quite amazing given it's a cW superhero show.

- the finale, the best finale of any Arrow season thus far, possibly one of the best episodes of the whole show.

However, otherwise I feel like the show meandered a lot, and could have dealt with its storylines in 13 episodes rather than 23.

I liked that the villains' motivation was completely personal, it wasn't some "blow up the world" plot or take over Star City, instead it was about destroying Ollie.

I felt that the whole Bratva storyline was totally unnecessary, and distracted us from the actual story.

While a lot of folks loved season 2, I felt that Slade's plan to cause **** and wreck stuff in Star city, with an army of super-steroid goons ....well it wasn't much of a plan.

In some ways I thought that Ra's Al Ghul had the best villain plot - because he wasn't looking to destroy Ollie or the city, he was looking for a successor.

All in all I'm not sure if I'd rank season 5 as the best, but it deserves big props for its finale which is certainly the best finale so far.

I'd say best since Season 2. If they maintain the grounded approach that they wanted with this season, then Arrow, despite not having a massive ratings bump, could indeed start feeling like it did with the first two seasons. Not that I think three and four were terrible, but collectively, this is the first season I've enjoyed as a whole since Season 2.

This hasn't been my favorite season, at all. I am on episode 12 or thereabouts, I think. It's kind of boring. it would be nice to move past the whole I--have-darkness-in-me thing. We've had that for 5 seasons and it's getting kind of old. He has to accept himself at some point and embrace it. Time to move on from that.

Season 5 was definitely very good. I thought they did a good job with the villain, character development on the team was good, looks like they are fixing the Oliver / Felicity "stuff" from Season 4 that made a bunch of people mad. Overall was very pleased. Looking forward to Season 6.

I just hope, now that the flashbacks have caught up with the start of the series they will no longer be a thing in the show.
