Sorry to mention this now but they were only released last month in Australia (Season 7). I only got to see some of the first disc a couple of hours ago. My question - is the "international version" the only one to have a lame numbering system to list the episodes i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 instead of Bizarro, Kara, Fierce, Cure? Australia usually gets a copy of the British version but we're Region 4 and they're Region 2. So are the American versions also affected or just us? I hope they bring back the names in Season 8 at least for the English language. 'Cos no need for translating and numbers are dumb unless you have both. Then they're helpful. I'm curious about how many countries got the dud versions.

hmmm all my dvd region one sets are all episodes names.

So it is probably as I feared that the international version gets more screwing. I didn't know it was possible. I was wrong. Thanks for replying. Can anyone in other regions tell us what their sets are like please?

I take it you still have a video intro on all your sets as an opener? Do you also have a paper insert with the episodes and other disc goodies listed? We don't after the earlier seasons did so. Now it's the episode titles. Oh well.

I always by mine from Amazon U.S. Even with the international shipping rates, you would still be ahead cost wise. 99% of Australian DVD players are multi-region, so you wont have a problem with it not working and that way you get all the goodies that it should come with.

I just checked my region 2 disks. We have numbers and no moving opening on our sets in the later seasons. I don't understand why they can't just copy and paste the data from the american disks

I know it's riduculous. If everyone around the world got the same I'd have no problems except it taking so long to show up here. But that's a minor complaint.

I still need to get S7... I'm waiting until Target has it for like 20 bucks.

yea me too, i havent had alot of cash lately so i havent gotten it either.

yea that does suck about blurays one of the reasons i havent upgraded yet.

You can play normal DVDs on your blu-ray player.

Yeah, but then I think what's the point of me having spent the money for the blu-ray. I'll just bite the bullet and order them one day.

Well, the blu-ray player does upgrade the quality of the regular DVD but I look at it this way.... save the Blu-ray discs for really spectacular stuff (I know you could Smallville in that basket). Its like movies that are released in cinemas.... some of them can wait until they come out on DVD, others you just have to see on the big screen.

Do you receive the Amazon Specials Emails, 'cause they often have huge sales where they sell Blu-ray DVDs cheaper than the regular ones. I just bought 21 on Blu-ray for $3 less than the regular copy. :yay:
