    ComingSoon.net reports that The CW has picked up "Smallville" for another season:

    "Also renewed were the long-running Thursday night team of "Smallville," which will begin its eighth season, and "Supernatural," which will begin its fourth season."

    We kind of knew it, but now is official. One more season, the last one, Clark finally becoming Superman, Lois star reporter of the Daily Planet and Lex, well, if Michael leaves, maybe as special guest star recurrent villain. :word:

    great news i like both showes

    hopefully by end of this sseaons clark accepts who he will become and then in next seaosn 8 will be all about clark's last steps becoming superman

    8 sesaon can deal with how he will get a disguise

    more histopry on krypton and kryptonians more bigger villians

    can't wait

    justin hartley is contracted to the CW so its up to them what they put him in. Hopefully he will be a semi-regular on Smallville if the spin off isn't announced

    I'd rather him get his own show than tag along SV during Season 8, which needs as much screentime allotted to Clark as humanly possible.

    Supernatural coming back makes me happy.

    Don't care about Smallville anymore. It peaked with 3 and has gone downhill ever since.

    Yeah, I hate these other storylines that surround Clark. The whole Chloe/Jimmy/Kara and Lois/Oliver love storylines sometimes bore me to death.

    Lois/Oliver was cool with me, because it helped build on Lois' romantic frustrations that'll lead her to falling for Supes and Clark.

    But this........Chmmara triangle? Boresville.
