Secret Avengers - Part 1

Preview for issue 23 is up on Newsarama. Banter between Pym and Beast is fantastic.

Haha, poor Pym. If he's not getting b****ed at for going crazy on his wife, he's getting made fun of for building a crazy death robot.

I don't mind him getting faced by Beast. He had it coming. :o

I don't mind it either. It's just good-natured super-scientist ribbing. Like Russell Crowe and that *****ebag in A Beautiful Mind.

I mean, that sentient robot he built did once murder an entire country.

Eh, it was in the Balkans. If it wasn't him it woulda been somebody else. Probably somebody with 27 consonants in his name. :o

It's hardly fair to hold Pym responsible for Ultron's actions if Ultron is indeed a fully autonomous AI. Ultron made his own choices after that moment of creation.

That's like blaming a sperm doner because one of his deposits grew up to become a serial killer.

Still, dude built a sentient robot that killed a country. Mind you, I'm a big Pym fan, but that did happen. The whole "endless guilt" thing stemming from that is part of what makes him a compelling character.

No telling how many deaths Ultron was responsible for in Conquest

What Hank should have said was "yes but how COOL is Ultron as a villain, there are some badass stories he's given the avengers"

And then the fourth wall would come crashing down. Upheaval would spread across the Marvel Universe and real world. Deadpool would somehow win several unrelated events in this summer's London Olympics.

Is Secret Avengers good now?

I was pissed as **** Marvel didn't release Remender's first issue digitally.

****. :(

Marvel did say they were making everything digital next month, right? :o

There's been a gradual increase in quality since Brubaker left. That's sort of strange to say, although most were skeptical considering how underwhelming his Uncanny stint was.

I'll always have a soft spot for the Rise and Fall of the Shi'air.

After that it was ****, though. :o

Ellis' issues weren't really that great, in my opinion. The Valkyrie issue after Brubaker left was pretty f***ing awful too. Can't remember who wrote that.

Basically, just start with Remender. He's doing his own thing anyway, so it's not like you need to have read Ellis' or anyone else's junk anyway.

i'm liking cap britain in there..and his assumption that he'd be leader only
to be humiliated by hawkeye as he is the leader.
although if they were to go toe to toe brian would rip clint a new one.

This book has been a disaster..its worse than the Fury of Firestorm

Ok, I can understand that. I thought you were including Remender's 1 issue and his point one issue....

In fairness, it may still be terrible under Remender. Two issues aren't much to go on...
