how about Spider-man? You're probably way over this subject, but I'm just such a Spidey fan that I would love to see a spidey cameo, and maybe him even being in the sequel

here's how I wish it would play out:
Shield agent: We got reports on this new guy
Fury: Care to share a little info?
Shield agent: He lives in Queens. He's just a teenager, but has an impressive skill set. We managed to get our hand on this footage, you might wanna check it out *clicks on a video on the computer, we don't yet see the screen but the reaction on Fury's face*
Fury: He's alright, but still a just a rookie, and underaged. You're time will come... *shows screen, the footage shows spidey*...Peter Parker

Not with a spiderman movie from a different studio about to hit theaters unfortunately. Marvel studios doesn't own the film rights to Spiderman. Until they do, they can't put him in an avengers film, even as a teaser without getting sued.

I know, but then there was the rumor about a contract being made between Columbia Pictures and Marvel studios that Columbia Pictures could share Spidey for the MCU, and that shined a little hope for a possible spidey cameo

Well I remember during the Live World Premier Event, one of the ladies that was interviewing the cast said to be sure to stick around for the after credits scene. That was the same night that RDJ said that they were going to be filming this mysterious scene. So it seems to me that the after-credits scene is already in place, and this is something other than that. Besides, we have already been told what the post-credit scene is, as told in the Review forum. Of course, I won't say what it is, but it's already in place. However, this mysterious scene could be an addition to the post-credit scene. Like an extension or something.

The interviewer was probably mentioning staying because most other marvel movies has a scene at the end of the credits, so was expecting one here. Instead there was just the mid credits tag. We are talking about an additional tag scene at the end of the credits (the mid credit scene would stay intact, giving us two tags)

Of course, feige tried to put it off as a small alteration to something, but no one believes him

Oh that's a brilliant point--that they put the existing tag mid credits to leave room for a post credit tag! Awesome!

Mandarin or some other IM3 type of teaser/foreshadowing
The Chitauri/Not-Skrulls can shapeshift, and have replaced one of the characters.

My money is on "none of the above". Let's face it, the Nick Fury appearance at the end of the credits of Iron Man.... NOBODY saw coming. I would have thought it would have been something like Rhodey trying on the future War Machine armor or something. I think the Avengers super-secret scene at the end will be a total surprise.

It was six hours before the official midnight release, so I'm confident it was the same version that'll be out in theatres and.....

There was no extra scene at the end of the credits. There's the extra bit with Thanos mid-credits, but I stuck around right til the big red Marvel logo came up at the end and that was it. So what was the extra stuff that was filmed???

NO one said the new footage would be after the credits - why is everyone expecting it to be there?

Didn't Fiege say it would hardly be noticeable? I think by this he meant it would not "stand out" as having been added - if you did not know it was not there in the version screened at the Premier, you would not notice that it was shot and added. This is not to say it's not important or does not add to the film, it just that it has been seamlessly added - as I would hope it would have been.

We still need to hear from those at the Premier who have seen it since...
