Didn't see a review thread for this, just a thread on whether or not it would "tank" so I made one. I'm not sure if ANYONE here is going to see this, but I saw it last night. I liked it, it wasn't a usual slasher flick. Lots of beatings, killings, weird crap, eyeballs, worms in brains, nice female ass, and such. Kane is a scary mo-fo, and he needs to be in more scary movies.

The real ending came a few minutes into the credits when:

They show Kane's dead body, laying there. Then a dog walks up to it and sniffs it. Just when you expect Kane to jump up, the dog pisses in his eye socket...and it ends. ....Come on.... that's a way to end a ****ing movie if I've ever seen one.

lol, nice ending

The sad thing is, half the theater left when the credits started so they missed that part.

itll be the same for x3 unless someone says something

Why the **** do directors put their endings half way in the credits, knowing that the average movie goer bolts out the door as soon as the movie ends:confused:

I know, the ending was like; "...ok...." then everyone hauled ass out, then that badass ending happened and they missed it.

They did the same for Constantine. It's a pretty stupid decision to put the end after the credits.

It had its problems, but overall it was damn good. One of the most disturbing slashers I've ever seen, and Kane's acting went above and beyond what I expected; his breakdown scene with his mother toward the end was fantastic.

The production design was top notch, and horror directors need to take notice of Tyler Bates. His scores for this and The Devil's Rejects are what great horror music all about, eerie and sickening sound effects rather than traditional orchestral scores.

I thought they could've made a little more of the rivalry with Goodnight and the cop, 3 survivors was a bit too many, especially considering one of them was the one I wanted to die the most, and the finale could've been stronger.
They did a much better job than many of these types of films with the characters and the atmosphere and tone were about as good as it gets for a slasher film.

It's rumored that there will be a scene during/after the credits of X3.
Yeah it's
Xavier in a new body

So it's actually good? I was hoping it would be, but there were a few moments in the trailer that worried me. Also the fact that Tyler Bates has only directed porn before this was a bit concerning, but I'll probably give it a go.

Tyler Bates is the composer, who scored See No Evil and The Devil's Rejects.

Gregory Dark is the director, he's also helmed episodes of Oz(and there's more preparation and execution in directing porn than you may think).

So Dark directed porn eh? So along with the awesome creepyness there's cool nudity right? I think I might see it, the commercials look really stylish.

I saw an interview with Kane on G4 the other day and I felt awkward just watching it. Kane seemed kind of slow and not really getting any of what the guy was saying. On top of that he kept saying he liked the movie because he got to kill people. Anyway, I was on the fence with this movie but a few of you say it's pretty good so I might just go see it.

He was probably answering in character rather than as himself.

Most likely.
I READ an interview with him about this movie and i was like
Dudes smart. Too smart. He is a pretty sophisticated guy and he really knew what he was talking about.

Like acting on screen compared to acting on a 'stage', would he like to do more films, would he like to go into more of a 'the rock' career and just do movies etc.

VOTE!

I havent seen it yet, but from DL's post above, thats like the best ending ever :o

ha. wow. I am not sure if I've ever seen a movie get 0%

Is it really that surprising. A slasher/horror flick, starring a wrestler, produced by a wrestling organization, helmed by a former porn director. This isn't the kind of movie one goes to the critics to judge.

I agree. It was never exactly gonna be a favourite with them.

I can't wait till this comes out in the uk :(

Not to mention that critics hate horror films to boot.

Considering the tedious trash that they often laud, bad reviews are more of a good sign than a bad one regarding a films quality.
