Seriously? Was Slott just picking at Marvel because they are cancelling his book? Was he trying to say Marvel sucks? :D

Am I looking to much into this? I've been wondering about this for a while. :O

DC stands for Damage Control. Damage Control was a comic from the 80s about a building repair company in New York that was constantly working 'round the clock because of all the damage caused by The Avengers' super fights and other such events. It was a humor book.

Wow, thanks, did not know that.

It looks similar obviously because the letters are the same, but other than that it shares no other similarities.

I'm glad that panel was posted though, since it ties in with the latest issue. Thing goes back in time to battle Hercules, who mistakes Thing for a troll and fights him. I didn't remember that he brought it up in the previous issue. That Slott. So sly.

I knew DC stood for damage control, but it looks like they went outta there way to make it look like the DC logo.

Exactly. The Damage Control thing is obvious (Thing even referrs to it), but I have no doubt that this one was intentional. And it's hilarious too.

Indeed! I totally missed that, and it fits in now.

And you do understand that Marvel gets to look at these things before they're sent off to the printer. If there is any 'inside joke', I'm sure that DS's bosses are in on it.

I'm glad that someone pointed that out, though. I had forgotten it also.

It seemed like a resurrection of the old, playful ribbing Marvel and DC used to allow writers to do years ago. I enjoyed it.

Yeah, I guess you could look at it like a little joke...maybe.

Or it's showing that Dan Slott knows Marvel comics and their continuity extensively well. And further proving that Dan should be writing Amazing Spider-Man. Right now. RIGHT NOW!!!!! NOW!!! Hear me!!!

Sorry.

Lol...that would be REALLY funny if that is what he was meaning. Good thing he's not though!
