Shameless

Anyone else getting bored with Frank's storyline? He's the worst part of the show for me right now.

This season is really firing on all cylinders for me. I even like the Sheila and Debby plots that most people don't seem to care for.

And I'll be damned if Carl and Mickey, two characters I never really cared for, aren't turning out to be my favorites this season.

I'm sure plenty of people are, but I'm not. Not yet anyway. Now that Frank isn't just looking for ways to keep his buzz going and he's being faced with his own mortality, I'm enjoying his storyline.

Especially when Sammi was asking about Frank's childhood, it showed that Frank wasn't born the narcissistic ass he is today, he was created by his horrible parents. Frank is the worst outcome of any one of his kids, so I like getting a peek into his psyche whenever I can.

William H. Macy signed on for another season though, so if he does die from his failed liver, it won't be until next season at the earliest. I think the show could get a lot of mileage out of Frank's death, so I hope we actually see that storyline play out on the show someday.

I love those two this season. I love how Carl's becoming the silent protector in his family. One week setting fire to the sweat lodge he was told nearly killed Frank, then this week knocking down those bullies who were twice his size.

Don't think I've posted in here before. But holy **** Mickey last night.

Kev and Lip are my favorite characters, but Mickey and Carl have been kicking ass this season.

Mickey, Kev and Carl have always been some of my favorites but they've been just great this year. Especially Mickey

Yeah, totally Eklypze... I love those guys.

I also really like Lip pulling to the top this season, he's always been my favorite.

So was last weeks the season finale, or is it an off week? My tv isn't showing a new episode tonight.

:hmm

It's off this week. It returns next week.

Yet another great episode. A lot of progress for Ian and Mickey, but that just means it's only a matter of time for the other shoe to drop.

We all knew Lip's roommates girlfriend would end up making advances on him, I for one was hoping he'd stop her should it ever happen... But this is Lip Gallagher. As smart as he is, he still thinks with his little head first.

Glad to see some of the ice breaking between the cold war of Fiona and Lip. Those two are the anchors of the Gallagher brood.

Looks like next weeks episode will be yet another intense hour of television.

Every time I see Ian this season I feel like he's come from the set of Batman Forever.

This fourth season has been absolutely fantastic thus far. I think this series is infinitely better than the British version (the accents get on my nerves, as it's too hard to understand what they're saying half the time), a rare feat for an American remake of a television series, especially considering Sherlock's American translation in the form of Elementary, which I find to be unbelievably boring when compared to the great BBC series. So many fantastic moments from this season, the actors playing Kevin and Mickey deserve supporting actor nominations IMO because they've been knocking it out of the park for each and every episode they're in. I seriously cannot wait to see the next episode this Sunday, should be another flawless episode as usual.

The actors playing Kevin and Mickey have both been doing a phenomenal job, but man the guy playing Ian is terrible. I cringe every time he's on screen.

I disagree. I think he's a pretty good actor as well, there's something that's changed about his character from his shipping out to the Army at the end of Season 3 to his absurd return at the gay club partway through this season. I think that there's something that's left his character tormented, something that he's probably too afraid to reveal (you can tell by the way he interacts with others now that he's been corrupted). I wanna find out who his friends from the Army are (remember Steve/Jimmy's dad saying to Lip and Debbie that Ian was hanging around some rather unsavoury people?) and what is the real reason for his change in appearance and attitude.

Solo Mickey's gonna kill Mandy's boyfriend right? Like, there's no way after seeing Mandy's face, Mickey can ignore that. I'm assuming he or at least his father/brothers have killed for less.

For sure. He ran over Karen for Mandy before, so I'm sure that he'd have no problem with burying that jerk. I hope that guy does get capped off though, or else it's going to mean trouble for Lip or others he's around, because that bloodied shot of Mandy left me completely devastated (as it did on Mickey too). This show has gone to some very dark places this season, but that last episode had some of the darkest material yet.

Man, I thought Fiona was going to screw the brother again

I thought so too, but I'm happy they cut away before such a thing could be started. I wouldn't be surprised if she does go back to him, but hopefully he does something good to prove himself to her. He truly did cost her everything, so he has a massive debt to pay if he wants to earn her trust again. I personally see it as being very tragic that Fiona would turn back to him after all this time though, she has nobody else to turn to besides her own family. She needs Jimmy/Steve back in her life again, hopefully he makes his return by the end of this season (which I think he will) to brighten Fiona's world back up a bit going into season 5.

I guess you guys didn't see the preview for the next episode....

I thought Mandy hit Karen.

I thought it was implied that Mickey did it, since he was cleaning the car off afterwards with one of his buddies.

No, Mandy cleaned the car off after she hit Karen. Mickey had no clue what happened to the car till Mandy told him she hit a girl at school the morning after it happened. The show didn't imply that anyone other than Mandy (who actually had the motive) did it. Lip even confronted her about it when he realized she was the one behind the wheel

I remember Lip confronting her, but I always thought she got Mickey to do it for her and that Lip just knew it was Mandy because of the text that Sheila showed him. But it makes sense that it was her too, plus I just looked it up on YouTube and you're definitely right. :woot: I don't know why I figured it was Mickey this whole time, maybe I'm getting that scene confused with a scene from one of the first two seasons.
