Share your wildest dreams for the Marvel Cinematic Universe

I know this is crazy and probably totally unrealistic, but my wildest dream for the MCU is that we see a new solo movie starring a hero who isn't another white guy or Scarlet Johannson's Black Widow.

That's not that crazy. Really crazy would be if there was someone in charge at marvel who didn't want to see anything except stories of straight white guys.

My craziest dream is to see some really cool gay characters in the mu. People like hulkling and Wiccan. Just the idea that gay people exist in this exciting wonderful world would mean so much to me and people like me

an original gay character would be nice instead of making a straight character au gay. And I don't know if a gay themed movie would make the same money as the hated white straight guys and widow. just saying I'm a shallow straight white woman who wants to see het characters..hopefully some heing and sheing.

They wouldn't need to make a straight character gay. There's plenty of gay characters in the marvel u. Even if it was only in agents of shield, I would just love that.

Use Monica Rambeau. Make her a lesbian.

3 birds with one stone. Black, female and gay. Plus she's an awesome character anyway.

I'd like to see Annihilation. A trilogy. The MCU's version of Star Wars. But Galactus, Surfer and the Heralds and obviously Annihilus are essential to the story so it'll never happen :(

A hero or team that doesn't have any connection to the avengers. One that exists in the same universe but doesn't have to connect to what we've already seen.
It's a big universe, to connect everything limits it's scope

A hero who operates outside of the United States. Thor 2 kinda had this but was a mediocre movie

A Nova movie

Fans to stop requesting the end of other franchises

Iron Man movie directed by Martin Scorsese.

But we are talking wildest dreams, so globally - 1 movie per year. But make it a 3-hour epic story, not just Avengers or Guardians or Inhumans, but some massive event with lots of characters and storylines like X-Men but... better.

Between those movies - HBO-quality series tie-in with a dozen 1-hour episodes and blockbuster budgets. Not necessarily with lots of action, make bigger accent on character development.

And 5-15 minutes One-shots before every movie. This is a wild-card - it could be a live-action movie, 3D or even drawn animation, expanding both cinematic and Marvel universe.

When they adapt the Infinity Gauntlet (and they will), there's no way they'd be able to adapt it 100% the way it is in the comics. The MCU of course doesn't share Marvel 616 continuity, so they would need to change it to cater to the characters they are working with. This being the case, I'd like Loki to take Dr. Doom's place in the story. What other MCU villain would team up with the heroes against Thanos?

Civil War
Fantastic Four, Galactus, Dr. Doom and Silver Surfer joining the MCU
Spider-Man and X-Men universes joining the MCU
Avengers vs Kang
Blade and Punisher Netflix series

Red Skull?

I suppose, as an aspiring film student, my wildest MCU dream would be to write/direct one of the films.

Movie wise, I'd say Black Panther, but since that seems inevitable, I'll go with a Marvel NOW Thunderbolts movie.

^^ An Avengers movie with that lineup.

I'd also like an X-Men movie franchise with costumes that resemble the comics, a new cast and with a tad bit more gritty/less emo tone.

Here's a thought...

Avengers VS X-Men, co-made by Marvel and Fox. When fans purchase their tickets, they have the option of saying which team they like more (big difference from which side they believe will win), and if the Avengers get more votes, then X-Men rights revert back to Marvel.

Never gonna happen, but it certainly sounds like a fun idea!

What a "What If" scenario! If something like that ever happened, I think everyone would just say "Avengers" anyway just to fix the rights reverting back to Marvel.

I have no crazy ambitions for this universe. I just want to see it more cohesive and individual storylines wrapped up well. If I had my way...

1. No more Iron Man movies. They've ruined the character and his arch-nemesis, so just make him part of Avengers for the rest of these movies. They planned that trilogy out so well only to have it fall flat on its face in the third act.

2. Incredible Hulk gets a sequel in which he faces off against The Leader and his Gamma Mutants. Introduce Jennifer and have her become the She-Hulk when Banner has to save her life with his blood. Have the AVENGERS send Hulk into space at some point and do the Planet Hulk storyline for a third and final Hulk solo film.

3. Thor III obviously has to be Raagnarok. We need Surtur coming into the fold and a massive battle at the end. Thor has to finish things off with Loki in a decisive manner in this film. Yeah, Loki needs to die.

4. Captain America III should be the Bloodstone story line which could introduce the Time Gem as Baron Zemo seeks it to revive his father. Maybe Red Skull comes back into the fold to end their feud decisively as well.

5. Ant-Man...this project looks absolutely horrible with them bypassing Pym and Janet for this nonsense with Scott Lang. But, if they're gonna do it, I guess I'll say what should follow. Have Lang beat the villain in this film (Yellow Jacket????) by becoming Giant-Man at the end and squash him like a bug. The sequel is called Giant-Man and sees Lang take on - I don't know - maybe Radioactive Man or Crossfire or something. I need to know more about this first movie to come up with much of substance.

6. Guardians of the Galaxy probably needs to be our gateway into the Kree Empire. Without seeing the first one, I can't comment much, but I'd say have their trilogy revolve around the Kree and send them to the Kree homeworld at least once.

7. Black Panther faces Klaw in his first movie. Have him face Killmonger or Man-Ape in the next one.

8. Doctor Strange should face Baron Mordo in the first film and eventually square off against Dormammu in the sequel or third act if there is a third act in the cards for him.

9. The Avengers III sounds like it's guaranteed to be against Thanos. I would be fine with closing this cinematic universe off for good at this point. I prefer things to end on a high note rather than continue until people lose interest. But, if they still have momentum, they can do Avengers IV: Planet Hulk and eventually Avengers V: Civil War.

As much as I'd love Avengers vs. X-Men, I'd say Galactus and Silver Surfer would be the more important characters to get back. So I'd wish that more than anything for this universe.

We need a few more memorable bad guys.

Give me The Enchantress and Executioner.
The Leader
Modok

We need villains who do more than punch.

I'd love for Mar-Vell to be introduced in the MCU as more than just a vehicle to create Ms.Marvel. Give him a significant enough role in a GotG sequel to then give him a heroic death.

1) Indestructible Hulk movie. Utilize the Leader, with the U-FOES, maybe AIM, and She-Hulk.

2) Marvel reacquiring rights to the Fantastic Four and all associated properties. So no more debate over who can use Skrulls, and so Galactus can exist among the Celestials. And so Mr. Fantastic can butt heads with Stark, Banner and Pym.
