While I'd prefer to see Dwayne Johnson as Conan, Captain Marvel is a great choice. I'm sure he'd provide a great acting performance.

oh god....the idea of the rock being anywhere near a captain marvel movie is disgusting. if he is even being considered, it goes to show that WB, the producer, writer, and director are gonna have no problems with seriously f**king up this movie and ruin the potential of a great franchise.

... the pull of the Rock as Black (Teth-)Adam or Captain Marvel is intriguing.. he can certainly pass as having Egyptian ancestry.. I suppose on one level it comes down to a marketing thing-- if he's cast as Adam, can they have just as big a star to play Marvel?

they could have Brendan Fraser play Captain Marvel and The Rock play Black Adam. they have similar height, similar build and both can do comedy, drama and action with ease.

Grace looked a lot like the Ultimate Version of Eddie Brock.
And why do I need to get over myself? I'm not the only one who thinks that the Rock isn't right for Captain Marvel.

Either way, I see Dwayne as a decent choice. Its gonna be a tough choice either way, but I do agree - he's got elements of both.

In fact, that would make for an interesting character for Black Adam - remember, Black Adam technically was the first Captain Marvel, so it would be a good character (even if he is a bad guy) if he had that look of helping people, but still being after power etc.

But still, its pretty cool. I could see it either way.

But dear lord... PLEASE don't let The Rock be Captain Marvel. The last thing I would want is for a caricature of Captain Marvel. Just because. Just because he has the traditional exaggerated Comic Book build about him does NOT mean he's right for this role. The face, the race (and no, it's not racist to say that so don't pretend it is) the voice... the acting ability, all of it is just wrong. I'll happily settle for The Rock as Black Adam as long as he stays the hell away from the red and gold costume.

The Rock is an actor of fine quality though - especially for Captain Marvel who is far from the deepest Superhero out there. You are telling me The Rock CAN'T act like a Childish Superhero?

I think he could do a *servicable* job of Black Adam, though there are several actors I would pick before him: Oded Fehr, Arnold Vosloo, even Billy Zane, but I could live with The Rock in the role, however I would be SORELY disappointed if The Rock got the role of Captain Marvel.
