Sequels Shelter from the storm

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a big hit (commercially anyway), and it looks like some of the other mutants want in. Actress Halle Berry, who played Storm in the first three X-Men films, says she wouldn’t mind reprising the role in a prequel. Just like X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Berry says Storm deserves her own movie and that she’d be happy to do it. Following the success of Wolverine’s opening weekend, you know Fox is prepping more X-Men adventures, with X-Men Origins: Magneto rumored to be next on the slate. X-Men Origins: Storm could be added to the list as well, and Hugh Jackman says that he wants to do another Wolverine film.

I'm not sure how to break it to you. but if it's hallie pushing for this then the project won't happen with any one else. But anyways. at least the video is up now.

First off let me say "DAMN i missed free comic book day!!!!!!"

and also i really really do not want a Storm movie! that wouldnt even makes sense! it would get in the way of the First Class movie. and since Storm isnt centuries old like Wolverine it would reall screw up the timeline.

Storm might get some much needed focus in the first class movie(s) but Halle Berry is far too old to play the part. except in maybe a final scene or something in the movie!

If done, it could be set shortly before X1, maybe a few years prior, so Storm would be in her mid-late 20's (as XMO: Wolverine is set 15 years before X1) and I don't think Halle's age will necessarily be a problem (1) she's one of the youngest looking stars out today (In their Eyes Were Watching God she played a Teenager for a portion of the film '05) (2) Brad Pitt (45) pulled it off in Benjamin Button, why not Halle Berry?

My biggest concern would be the story, I wouldn't want to see the writers rely on Halle's sex appeal and name to draw a crowd (like they did with a certain felined superhero filler-film), but a solid origin story that is worth telling,

If this film does come into fruition the writers should write it as a drama, with tons of action, "Like Blood Diamond", it should focus on character development brought on by a strong social issue-which Africa is full of-If not then I don't think they should make it

You know what...I hated the idea up until you said that. Hotel Rwanda blew my mind and if a Storm movie could help bring those types of atrocities to an American audience, all the better. However, I'd rather they get a different and younger actress for the role, leaving Halle for a small role at the end. Considering how adamant she was about not doing anymore superhero movies after X3, her recent comments on a Storm flick border on hilarious.

Janet Jackson as Storm? Seriously? I think there are a million other women out there who would be a better fit.
And I don't really think a Storm movie would be a good idea even though I really like her character (not Halle's though).

They won't do more solo movies.

They'll do Wolverine 2 and Deadpool, but the next movies will be team ones.

Storm was a Xavier student since a young age, so what Storm movie can they do with that? you know....

It depends on how much of the original 616 storm they put in. if they used that "that is "there was alot she did befor joinging the x-men as teen and so forth it's do able and all they have to do is show her life with the shadow king as kid befor xavier saved her from him and so on after just befor she joined. like her run in with the external kandra that cyclops killed yto save her.

Storm has a lot of pre-X-Men storylines that could work in a film that revolved around issues in Africa...
-Her parents death and developed Claustrophobia after a fighter plane crashed into her home
-Child thief under Achmed el-Gibar (cameo of Prof. X. being robbed could be included)
-Her escape attempted rape and murder of rapist
-Her escapedes in the Sernegheti as she rescued a kindapped prince (Black Panther-he could be a supporting character, or simply a cameo)
-Her worship as a teen goddess in a African Tribe, before she is recruited to the X-Men-during this time she detaches herself from her stronger emotions as a way to maintain control of her powers
-Or they could include Deluge, a mutant who stole her powers for his own personal usage
