No I didn't. I actually agree with you. I just didn't like you calling me "kid". Thats disrespectful. But I don't wanna argue. I'm cool with you now.
Who's trying to argue? I wont call you kid then.

I'm not saying you were arguing. I just don't wanna turn it INTO an argument.

haha okay. Only you and I could turn agreeing on something into an arguement

Well, in X-Men 147, Storm did kinda remind me of Jean. Especially when she mentioned Doom's powers is finite while hers are not. That's unlimited potential.

Yup. I remeber that. But one time, before I had ever got the issue, I had read a little paragraph summary about it and it had said that she's like the Phoenix in power.

One thing I love about it is that Storm is leaving me guessing what she really is. One moment she holds back and shows compassion, the next minute she's like god. I mean people get annoyed by her cockiness, I don't IMO. It's practically an expression that she is potentially very powerful and has been labeled as one of the most powerful mutants ever to exist in Earth. Her character is developing to extents that we never could've thought of. If she feels nature and could be hurt only by disrupting the its law, it is an implication that she is in fact has the potential to be one with it. Being one with the ecosystem already is practically godlike (Gaia, Hera, etc.), and if she can achieve that, then she is in fact more powerful than we thought, IF she ever shows that (unlike Prof. X and Magneto who didn't try to be one with the psychic plane and the magnetosphere respectively because they might die like what happened to Joseph and Chronomancer).

Although those scans from HandsOfFate on X-Men #147 showed how powerful Storm could be if she doesn't hold back, and mentioning that her powers are somewhat infinite...dude, that's like omega level; having the potential to do anything based on the design of your mutation (e.g. Bobby with his control over water). But I'm not implying she is omega like Jean because of the fact that she is portrayed right now as only a bride rather than developing her powers more. She might be one. But it is possible that she is just a really really powerful alpha.

Bottom line is, Storm reminds me of Jean in the issue #147 of X-Men where she is having infinite power and the X-Men combined could not defeat her.

Well said. Storm certainly seems to have infinite control over her mutation. Given the limits of her power design, she seems to have complete control over it. And being so in touch with the Earth as she is... it wouldn't be crazy to say that she is already one with it. Think about it... she feels the Earth. She feels when something is wrong. She can feel changes in the atmosphere... not only this, but she effects the Earth's atmosphere with her emotions. If that isn't at least the same degree of control that Iceman has over water, than you've got me.

You said Micky-fox! :)

    Bravo, Bravo, and Bravo! That was perfectly explained. Not only that, but she has spiritual and material sustanance for living things on earth and OUTSIDE of the earth, which is probably why she has empathy/infinity for the entire universe. I mean, she has showed that she can control water, and in a black panther issue has show somewhat control over EARTH. Her powers are evolving and its only a matter of time before her "trancendance" unleashes.

hmm....in some ways they are the same, but in many ways they are different. Storm is a powerful woman who is a born leader. Jean Grey isn't much of a leader, more of a follower, but if given the chance would probably do well leading. Storm is more confident than Jean.

True, Storm does have more confindent but I think Jean could get there if somebody actually took the time out and devloped her personaility outside of the Phoenix Force.

Sadly, while I disliked the 90's it was a good decade for Jean:)

Jean does have the potential to do great with leadership. Although she can develop that skill, Storm is still way ahead of her. But we do know now that she is the only one who can kick Phoenix's butt, lol. Atta way to remind that damn entity that they are one and should not be sl*tting around with Scott.

Okay, now lets not start that before someone comes in here with that "oh no. Phoenix vs. Storm thread agin" crap. Anway, I have always found it that their was a simialarity between them two. Anytime someone is speaking of Omega, Storms name is brought up and sometimes when their talking about Jean, Storms name is brought up. I don't know if ya'll noticed, but it has always being a similarity.

i love reading arguements, anyway yea i see it, but i see it in more ways than that, i think both characters where really interesting back when they first started off, but now a days they both seem so boring, its not them, its the writers who dont know what to do with them, x-treme x-men was kinda a joke, the stories were really weak, i have one paperback novel and i gotta say its freaking sucks, storm is on the cover yet shes crippled through out most the book, and jean in NXM was so so, i guess emmas personality shadowed hers, id like to see both back as powerful women that they used to be
