It became apparent to me when she and Vic started doing the buddy cop thing. I figured, "Montoya's too big a character in her own right to just be the Question's sidekick... **** me, they're gonna kill the Question and make Montoya take over!" Then I went into denial and told myself, "Nah, Rucka's better than that. He never wanted Montoya to be a superhero. He'd never do it."

And then he did.
