Just saw Shoot 'Em Up, and wow now that's the best Punisher movie I've seen. Have you guys seen the movie? Man, just put a skull on Clive Owens and call him the Punisher! I know it's over the top action but man it's insane. I gave it 10 out 10

If they had decided to do a direct continuation of the Thomas Jane Punisher film series without Jane (rather than a complete reboot) Clive Owen would be the only obvious choice for Frank Castle.

You know who else? After seeing Butler in 300, i love to see Butler as Frank Castle.

Owen would make a better Bond. STEVENSON is the man for Castle.

wasnt the family of clives character in the movie killed too? Which makes the character a Vigilante as well? The action in that movie was insane...though i dont like clive as Frank...Im happy with Ray Stevenson.

From what I saw on the trailer, it was more that he never knew his parents and did a s**tload of training with black ops. He sees a pregnant woman running away from some hitmen and thus, the shooting begins.

I don't think the Punisher would use lines like "Talk about shooting your load."

Of course Ray is the man. But if you've seen Shoot 'Em Up, you will know this movie is more Punisher than the previous attempts in terms of no holds barred pure violent action. In the movie his wife and kid are randomly killed in a Burger King. He hates people who break the law. He's a vigilante and a loner. He has military training and has no problem killing bad guys in the most brutal way. Who does that sound like?:wow:

yea while i watched the movie i kept thinking damn that sounds a lot like someone i know...

I saw it tonight. It was pretty good. Though I wouldn't give it a 10 out of 10 at all.

I dunno about you guys, but I definately don't want my ideal Punisher movie to be a mindless action flick like this one clearly is.

I went into the theater wanting a violent mindless action movie and that's what I got, I couldn't ask for more. I guess it depends on your expectations and on the audience because the people in the theater I was watching the movie at were clapping and cheering through out the movie, something I only see at fanboy movies. Of course I want Punisher: War Zone to be better than Shoot 'Em Up, I just hope Lexi can crank the action up and let Castle live up to the name of the Punisher. Where's ObakeTora? He'll know what I'm talking about.:unishr:

Clive Owens could be good as Green Lanturn.
