shooter on the va tech campus

This is sad, unbelievable, and shocking...........some people are just twisted

Well Momma always raise me to believe one's soul is always available for some hellish torture if you are a particularly evil person.

I suppose it all depends on what you believe...for me this works...*shrug*

it also depends on what you consider "evil" apparently.

Yes if you come across anyone who has an imaginary girlfriend, stalks girls he chats with online or doesn't say more than one word you should tell someone.

i dunno if this has been mentioned on not, cuz i'm still back on page 10 trying to catch up cuz i wasnt ready to read this thread yet.

there's a video posted on break.com that a kid on campus took. i was glancing thru the comments, and this one disgusted me:

It's sad to say that many people on Break and who troll the internet are just like that.

I was playing Diablo II: Lord of Destruction online today and noticed a game room called, "VIRGINIATECHSUX." I was half tempted to join to see what was up, but nothing I could have done would have had any effect on people like that.

As for the people speaking on the shooter and feeling sorry for him: I can't help but feel sorry for what he was apparently going through. After seeing some of the videos, notes, and other media on Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris... I hate to say this, but they were depressed, outcast teens... Much like I was all during school [for many of the same reasons Klebold and Harris were], and much how many of posters on SHH could have been.

They had a different outlet. Not because they had more guts than us, or because they were more twisted... But it was all they felt they could do. They were at the breaking point, and where I would normally go out and beat the hell out of kicking pads, these people obviously thought the best thing to do was to fire back at those who had supposedly driven them to do what they did. There's a lot of missing answers to significant questions when it comes to these kinds of people, but the now three most renowned and most invasive killers are dead, and we'll never hear exactly why they did it.

Human life is precious, and although Klebold, Harris, Kinkel, Gill, Hui, Weise, and the numerous others did what they did... Their lives were just as important as others'.

In no way am I justifying what they did, but we can't bash them personally because we don't even know what went on. Their acts were abominable, but like all stories, there's two sides. Maybe even more.

I feel sorry for the guy. He was mentally ill, although that doesn't excuse his actions. No one is born evil.

your version is good, but it's almost too short...I like mine because he suffers for eternity

i think he has suffered enoguh... I hate how christians want everyone to suffer in hell....but hey thats part of the mythology :o

I know some idiots are gonna start fearing nerdy-looking asians now.

seriously...i've already had one of my co-workers ask if they have to worry about me. he was joking of course but still...i've heard a story about an asian woman that had to call into work because people were going up to her car and banging on it while she was parked or at a traffic light.

I just thought you wrote "banging her car". :wow:

And people wonder where the urge to commit violence comes from?

While I'm SURE this person and his cronies thought this was funny,.. I wish someone had been on hand to *Pop* him upside his head and tell him to show more sensitivity,...

GEEZ.

all the Korean nail salons are worried they'll lose business.

While I disagree with anyone posting insensitive remarks I have noticed one interesting point. Most of the people supporting gun ownership (cause it's part of the constitution!!!!!) Are also the first to jump on people for making insensitive remarks.

Isn't freedom of speach protected by the constitution as well?

interesting, ok now I have the figures maybe some of you people defending guns will get this

http://www.nssf.org/news/PR_idx.cfm?PRloc=common/PR/&PR=060506.cfm

(remember these are for 2005)

Gun Sales Rise as Crime and Accident Rates Fall

NEWTOWN, Conn.--New statistics show that firearm and ammunition sales are on the rise, coinciding with steady downward trends in gun crime, suicide and accident rates, in the U.S.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the shooting, hunting and outdoor industry, has released U.S. Dept. of the Treasury figures indicating that 2005 retail sales of firearms and ammunition rose 2.6 percent for a total volume of $2.1 billion.

For the year, approximately 4.7 million new guns were sold, bringing the estimated number of citizen-owned firearms in the U.S. to more than 290 million. The number of American households with at least one firearm is now estimated at nearly 47.8 million.

Of the various firearm types, the sharpest gains were seen in retail sales of handguns (pistols and revolvers). Handgun sales rose 3 percent while long-gun (rifle and shotgun) sales rose 1.8 percent.

Ammunition sales rose 3.5 percent.

OK, so let me break this down REALLY Slowly.

If guns were illegal in the US just under 5 MILLION guns would no longer be produced each year

With an amnesty you would take at least 200 million guns out of circulation

Now tell me why it would still be easy for criminals to get guns?

"Fredom of Speach"....refers to the right to be able to speak out against the government without worrying about being arrested or beaten for doing so....not the right to say any stupid thing to anyone and not expect to get slapped.

People are going to use this thing as a scapegoat for gun control, for looser gun restrictions, for profiling asians, etc. Everyone is confused and angry and want an answer, but will all go about the wrong way of finding it, because you never will.

I think it's rather sad that people are going to start profiling Asians. Do we profile white people, seeing as serial killers are usually white males?

Plus the idiocy of those who are going to harass Asians, who can't discern between the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipinos, Indonesians, etc. People in the UK, don't like to be grouped together, Scottish, Irish, English, Welsh etc. Neither do Asians.

Haha, you're right. I bet the people who start profiling probably won't get a Korean till the 100th try.

You know, i stop feeling sorry for lonely depressed kids when they start shooting people.

does anyone else feel sorry for the killer, i mean it seemed like he might have been emotional tormented and depressed

I feel sorry for his mom and dad who knows what they are going through right now. But as for their son....HELL NO..if he was lonely..buy a dog, if he felt like he had to kill someone...he should have blew his own brains out. He didnt have to take his tormented depressed feelings out on other people:cmad:
