The thing is, there should be one subforum for this movie, right now I'm posting in 2 boards and it's kinda frustrating (As I'm mostly posting the same things twice). Imma PM a mod.

Batman can be in the sequel as long as they remember this is Superman's movie.

I'd bet Batman will dominate news of the so-called MOS sequel. When is a sequel not a sequel? When it's called Batman vs Superman.

Unfortunately this shows a lack of confidence in Superman by WB.

What happens after the next film? No more MOS films? Use Cavill in his 3rd and last film as Superman in JL?

no.
while this is a movie i'd enjoy seeing eventually, this move by WB has been made too soon.
next movie should've been Supes vs Lex.
next movie should've had less control by snyder, not more.

I'm much more of a Batman fan, and although I'm not averse to a buddy movie between these guys, this should have been a strict Superman sequel. If I were a hardcore Superman fan, I'd be pretty angry at this whole thing.

MoS and Superman fans deserved another two sequels atleast before this. Also, I'm not too enamored with the fact that this is rebooting Batman.

It just depends on what the film actally is. Is batman a supporting character in Superman's sequel, or is Superman fully sharing his sequel with Batman, and this would be the first Batman film in a new series as well as a second superman film.

I think I'd rather have the latter, I'm very protective of Batman when it comes to his portrayal in the justice league or with Superman, it's just as easy to make him come across as overpowered (Grant Morisson's JLA) or have him seem like a complete joke (Anything Geoff Johns), and while I understand any need or disappointment to have a proper Man of Steel sequel, I also understand their need to shake things up and give us a film many of us have been waiting for.

It's already working, you look at any news outlet and the Batman/Superman film is the top story coming out of comic con, that's the sort of buzz that DC has needed in a heavy comic con that has top level Marvel sequels up the wazoo.

I think Batman works with Superman the way Joker works with Batman. No matter what, he'll steal the other's thunder. I don't like the idea of mixing both for both a Superman sequel or Batman's first movie in a new series.

Yes, and I want Brainiac to be based on the Johns/Frank version of the character. Both origin and look wise.

I believe Batman vs Superman is enough, don't think there's any reason for Batman to end up in other Supes' movies.

yeah i needed some posts to start a thread, atleast, that's what i got in my pm-box.
didn't work though.

And didn't want to simply trash this place with useless posts.
