Boy, you got that right. TERRIBLE book.

consistently good or consistently crappy? AS supes with morrison and quietly is great... AS bats with miller and lee blows harder than the prom queen in a three way with the prom king and the quarterback on prom night

Wow, I always thought miller and Lee would work great together. Has All Star Superman every changed artists/writers?

I'm sorry to say it, but Ultimate Marvel's turning stale... i love UM, but it's true... other than the Ultimates, nothing's really worth buying...

see, the thing about Marvel and DC, is DC has more quality stuff, but Marvel appeals to a larger audience, i would think. So kids come for Marvel, but stay for DC...

That is half true, the Ultimate concept and line was created to help Marvel bail out of bankrupcy. It was never intended to be permament.I predict that the Ultimates will decline,it may have already started. But there are saps who continue to buy, even when it is bad, thus prolonging the agony.

I will only say yes if the Ultimate DC concepts that Wizard proposed, would be used.So far the All Star line is horrendus.

Lex Luthor has been in All-Star Superman but no villains have appeared in All-Star Batman and Robin, unless you count Superman, who is apparently a villain in Frank Miller's eyes.
2.And how old is Batman and Superman?
Late 20's, early 30's at the most.
3.Is it in the same universe as regular DC?
No. There is no continuity in the All-Star DC books. Each story is it's own unless another writer decides to continue on with the story.

Right now, All-Star Batman and Robin is set in the universe of Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns. The next writer may decide not to continue on with that path and go with however he wants.

All-Star Superman is not set in any particular universe at the moment though it has many classic Silver Age influences. The next writer may decide to do what Grant Morrison is doing or he may do something else.

Ultimate Spider-Man has gotten stale. The Ultimates has turned into liberal garbage. And Ultimate Fantastic Four and Ultimate X-Men just plain suck. :o

All-Star Batman and Robin is complete crap, I have to agree with you there. But All-Star Superman, while being far from Morrison's finest, is actually quite enjoyable. However we should see how the quality of All-Star Wonder Woman will be before we judge the line

I effing hate Marvel now.
That New Avengers arc-The Collective-was the last straw.
I've ALWAYS liked DC more, but that story pretty much solidified it as my favorite.
and no, no Ultimate titles.
The whole point of the crises are to get rid of multiple universes. If they make a new one, it would just defeat Infinite Crisis' purpose.(Which was SO much better than House of M.)

And writes it's characters in character instead of another version of them like in Civil War

DC is already ultimate. They are better than Marvel. DC is a better company than Marvel. Marvel is worse than DC. DC pwns Marvel. Marvel is not as good as DC.

I believe DC's Ultimate line is called "All-Star." It's basically the same premise--new takes on familiar characters by big-name creators without the baggage of continuity.

DC is doing this thing that's similar to the Ultimate universe, it's called All-Star.

I was mocking you for saying the same thing that's been said like three times already.

All Star Batman isnt to bad, just cause it isnt like theBatmanin the regular universe...

so, who cares, that's the point. All Star SUperman is the BEST!

My only grip with all star is that its relase is every other month for Superman, while AS batman is even more screwed with releases. I dont expect trade paperback to be avaible this year but early next year prably collecting the first six issues.

The next issue is due next month for ALl Star Superman and im excited.

:)
