I really liked the team pre-Disassembled: She-Hulk, Thor, Wasp, Pym, Vision, S.Witch, Quicksilver, etc.

JewishHobbit said:I couldn't really get into the Avengers prior to Disassembled. I liked them back during the 90's around Avengers 350-375, the whole Proctor storyline with Black Knight, Sersi, Crystal, Hercules, Captain America, Vision, etc. After issue 375 I couldn't get into it anymore. I tried again after the relaunch around issue 25 and I collected it spiratically until around issue 35 or so, but still couldn't get into them. The first story I ended up liking was the Lionheart of Avalon storyline. I liked that one and the Invaders storyline was alright (though their title that came from that was better). It wasn't until Disassembled that I found myself LOVING the title, and now I'm a huge New Avengers fan. Sadly, depending on how 'disassembled' they get, I may or may not stick with the title. I like the title, but I just can't get into some of the old Avengers, and I'm afraid I may loose interest again.

Genesis 1.0 said:Which leaves some interesting possibilities as to who they bring in if both Sentry AND Thor stay with Tony, they'll need some major heavy hitters to counter-balance that type of power on Tony's end.
Heh, with sales so high, it's a brazen move to Disassemble the team right here and now, especially since so many detractors squeal about the staus quo. If that were indeed the case, they wouldn't have tampered with what was already working.
Darthphere said:Ever hear the phrase change for the sake of change?

Darthphere said:No, instead we get two Avengers titles written by the same guy. So in essence, nothing has changed. Just add a new member here, throw out this guy, maybe get a pet. Same ol. same ol.
Genesis 1.0 said:You're being purposefully oblivious to the point here and you know it. Status quo demmands that things stay the same as long as it's making you enough money, there is no shift unless the monetary value lowers dramatically. Anyone that's worked for a corporation or even entry level management can tell you that's the case. Splitting up a team on a title that's raking in the dough and risking that winning formula doesn NOT meet that definition at al.
Darthphere said:Yes, and you already argued this point yourself. The reason its changing is because of Civil War, if it never happened the team wouldnt change, and a second Avengers title wouldnt have happened the way it is now. So exactly, what are you arguing again?

Genesis 1.0 said:Corp: Yeah, but the Zodiac was damn cheesy and you know it and their 'powers' were nothing that should have given that Avengers squad any trouble. Hundreds of ninjas all better martial artists than most superheroes, that's a hell of alot different.
