Should I Grow a Beard?

No, beards are just wrong on so many levels whed i was at school we had a CDT teacher (woodwork) we named him scrumpy Jack as he looked, well, Scrumpy. He'doften turn up for class after dinner with bits off egg, sausage and beans in his beard not to mention dried tomato sauce.

Is that what you want?

Is it?

so no to beard's

nice kept trimmed beards are okay....

but big long nasty beards like ZZ Top :down

I had an algebra teacher who's first name was Harley... he always smelled of cigarettes and coffee. He looked like a long lost member of ZZ Top

Sounds like someone has some subconscious desires.

Hey guys! Sorry I didnt post any pics, my camera is acting really weird. Anyways I basically had this pre-pubecent goatee, lol, and it was getting a little too scraggly. I was going to keep growing it but everyone kept giving me crap for it and I couldnt take it any more. So, I shaved it :( And then all the sudden the next day I came to school, everyone was saying, "Oh dude, it looked good, you shouldnt of sahved it." So then I was just like... wow

That's really depressing. To see your beard progress was the only reason I've been coming to the boards these last couple of weeks. :csad::waa:

Okay, not really. But you gotta grow a beard. Avoid your reflection for a month and just let it grow. No shaving the sideburns or neck beard either. Throw away your razor and prepare to enjoy all the things your beard has to offer. And if people give you crap about how it looks, forget em'. People will always find something to give you crap about, that's life. Any guy that messed with you about it was just jealous. A lot of guys I know are envious of beard, even when it was scraggly.

You must grow a beard ConeBone, otherwise your missing out on life.

Haha im sorry man. But dude, the ladies dont like it either so... its not worth it

A good beard, like any thing of beauty, is hideously ugly before it's done (or as those in the know call it "ripe").

Really? I usually get compliments on my facial hair. But who cares? Shave it off after you take the picture.

Quick and dirty, like his pseudobeard!

Oh dear... :funny:

Sadly, that's as close as we're going to get to seeing ConeBone with a beard.

After 6 months, here's an update on conebone's beard...

I remember my first beard. I was 16 and had to trim it real thin so it looked like and Abe Lincoln Beard. Don't worry, the patchy parts will come in later, maybe.

The correct answer to this question is yes. yes you should grow a beard.

About a year ago, I did the Beard project for 10 weeks.

I skipped weeks 8 and 9 for some reason.

So obviously the answer is yes. Everyone, grow a beard!

10 weeks is about the right amount of time to see if you can grow a beard.

Most people say wait at least 2 months, let it grow, and once you hit that 2 months, then you can shape it and trim it accordingly.

I wasn't able to grow much of a beard until recently, I just bit the bullet and let it grow for 2 months, and mine hasn't turned out all that bad.

i first grew a stache/goatee then dropped the stache and have a beard when i was 17
now i just have a goatee

Goatee FTW!

Can you even grow facial hair? You look very young there. Maybe you have a baby face but I couldn't grow a decent beard until I was about 20 or 21 because my hair on my face needed to go thicker. Just keep shaving what you have and it will grow in.

Though a word of advice...a beard can be a blessing and a curse. When you get a job that requires no facial hair...well, life will suck because then you will have to shave EVERY SINGLE DAY...and that, my friends, is not fun.

I've always wanted to look different, I've looked the same since I was in the 5th grade. I want to do something to switch up my look to make me look older. I know im young, im a junior in high school but should I grow some facial hair? I always attempt to grow some but then someone always has to come along and say something that makes me shave it. How would I look with it, be honest?

I have a beard now. I love it. I've NEVER had a beard in my life, so it's new experience for me. I hide food, weapons, and the remote in it. I also read to it at night. It... completes me.

Stick some velcro on pizza and you have a handy place to stash a snack whilst posting at all hours :ghost:

Seriously though you have a narrow face so it will make you look like a crack-head. Shave your hair and get a tat. That will serve you much better.

Go for the stubble, my friend. Makes a man look extra rugged, it does.
