 why? he already apologized for misspeaking. you don't honestly believe he intended to slander all american soldiers, do you?

no, he wants desperately to believe that though.
because otherwise the sheer volume of his own idiocy would crush him.:o

It doesn't matter what was intended. It was what was received that counts.

Dammit!!! Why are Democrats such *****es? This is why the Republicans are allowed to enforce policies that **** everyone over but them and their rich *****ebag friends, because the Democrats won't say boo without backing down at the first sign of critisism.
Exactly. FDR had balls. Today's democrats are pushovers.

I wish Senator Paul Wellstone was still around. :csad:

That man had integrity.

btw if I was in the military, a poorly planned war and lack of basic armor and **** like that would piss me off more than what some politician said.

democrats are trying to show that they're accountable for their mistakes and will weed out anyone who tries to tarnish their party's image. while the republican party is bloated with power and can't control their own. i just wish the dems could come together and produce a meaningful and coherent message.

Gary Studd, Bill Clinton, Harry Reid, Alan Mollohan, Robert Byrd, William Jefferson, Alcee Hastings...on and on.

Limbaugh isn't running for office and it's Limbaugh's job to create controversy.

A politician is dependent upon not creating controversy, at least not for himself.

Like it or not, somethings that shouldn't stick does and things that should stick don't. That's the unpredictable nature of politics.

No one is responsible for how another person hears something.

Kinda like how we "intended" to bring freedom to Iraq, but they "received" death, destruction and civil war instead?

Maybe they deserve an apology.

A soldier's job is to go into death, destruction and civil war.

"I'm sorry you are all idiots and totally misconstrued what I had to say. Mybad."

Yeah, that's like Stephen Colbert apologizing to everyone who mispronounces his name "Cole-bert". :whatever:

No, but we aren't talking about an average person. A seasoned politician like Kerry knows how seemingly innocent comments can take a life unto their own and have unintended consequences.

That much is his fault. He knows that most Americans appreciate their military and that making comments that can be interpreted to be degrading to the military is a no-go zone.
