I play as Raven in an rpg, and the other day, while we were discussing some aspects of her immediately came out the whole Destiny episode and that Mystique is a bisexual. But... can she be called that? When she morphs her body, when she becomes someone else, she actually changes her entire being, she can be a woman or a man, with all the genitalia and organs inherent for each sex. So, if she morphs into a man to have sex with Destiny (like we saw in the Sabretooth and Mystique mini back in 96), isn't that heterosexual sex? She is now a he, and is having sex with a she. RAven can be anything she wants whenever she wants it, so, can we call her a woman when she is morphed into a man? heck, are we certain she was born a woman? She presents such an interesting dilemma...

I belive Raven is asexual, and she becomes either a man or a woman when the need arises.

well shes not asexual cos she dosent have sex with her self to make babies, and i guess shes bi cos SHE is a woman and cos she morphs dnt matta cos shes a woman who sleeps whith both sexes i guess. whats this "So, if she morphs into a man to have sex with Destiny (like we saw in the Sabretooth and Mystique mini back in 96), isn't that heterosexual sex?" what happens in this mini exactly?

She is bisexual, judging from the information you provided. Asexual means that she only has sex and/or she reproduces without a partner(s).

I agree with sebita. But that is a little creepy....

Nope she can't cos true Bisexuals don't exist. All the girls end up being straight and all the guys end up being gay. Thas Life.

Raven is bisexual. She's still female genetically, even if her outsides might look male.

If Claremont was permitted to do his storyline where Mystique was Nightcrawler's father and Destiny his mother, that's not asexual. You can get into all sorts of genetics debates about how two women could produce a son.

Lets clarify that statement shall we? Thats YOUR opinion...not the all-defining one.

Yes there are true bi-sexuals just like there are heterosexuals and homosexuals.

If a woman is bisexual:
She has sex with men, so there she is attracted to males. She is just like those chicks on Girls Gone Wild. Y'know just having fun, experimenting, probably high, nothing serious.

If a man is bisexual:

He has sex with men. 'Nuff said. Only gay men have sex with other men.

Is Raven bisexual? Well, that's her mystique.

I agree. reminds me of a talk show i saw about black men on dl. triflin sh@@

"Triflin sh@@"? If anything it speaks to the homophobic atmosphere in the black community.

My post was meant to be sarcastic.

You seem to be missing my point. By A-sexual I mean "with no sex"m, at least not definite sex. She chooses the form of a woman most of the time, but do we know for certain she is a woman? How do we know she wasn't born a man? How do we know she wasn't born without any genitalia until her mutant powers activated? RAven's genes are so malleable she can change them to perfectly mimic everyone's, we've seen her creating scents, retina (the eye membrane, hope it is written the same, seeing as retinal scan means a scan of that membrane), fingertips and any other aspect of other people.

What I believe is Raven was born without a definite sex, and she was raised as a girl, once her mutant powers activated she sort of "fell" into what she had been raised for. We're talking about a mutant than can change her entire body whenever she pleases, not just "cosmetically" not just the surface of her body, but everything within as well, heck she can even shift her organs to whatver part of the body she wants (as seen in the latest Mystique ongoing).

And btw, I agree with mightiest. Bisexual men are just closeted gay guys that are too afraid to come out... bisexual girls are just the same, only it is even harder for lesbians to come out of the closet, so they end up being straight, or trying t be

Yes, she's a bisexual woman. Why is this so hard for some people to accept? Have people missed the part where she's proud of her natural form, as in the blue female form that she always reverts back to?

It has nothing to do with acceptance, it has to do with reality. Do we know for a fact she is a woman? She could very well not be. She chooses the form of a blue skinned woman, but how do we know it is that way? Also, do note that her skin is blue, while her son has blue hair, so you can't say she is originally blue because Kurt is, because they are different.

Then the correct term is non-gendered. Not asexual. Mystique always returns to a young yellow eyed, female form. Why? Because it is her natural gender and she doesn't seem to have qualms about it.

Re, Bisexuality. I wonder how much of your logic is fueled by television, misguidance and misinformation. I'm guessing alot of it. Because, to apply that to all people who say they are bi-sexual is silly.

Yes, she's a woman. That's a reality. Do you seriously think that after all this time they're gonna pull a "She's a man, baby!" on us? No. That's stupid and does nothing but degrade her character. She's constantly fought for mutant superiority and the fact that they shouldn't have to hide their true selves and that her blue form is her real form. And saying that she was born without a true sex is stretching things a lot. Her mutation didn't kick in until puberty like most other mutants, so she obviously was still a girl the whole time.

What does Nightcrawler have to do with this anyway? I never brought him up, and mutant genetics is a moot point anyway because kids rarely have anything in common with their parents.

I actually know quite a lot of people who claim to be bisexuals, and do emphasize the word claim. Also, there was a study in Britain last year and it proved that there is no such thing as bisexuality, maybe I'll look it up on google

WEll believe what you must, but until I see a panel with her being born as a blue skinned girl I shall believe in other possibilities. I find it hard to confine my thoughts when there is a window open for other interpretations

I hope you find the results to that(hopefully non-biased) research information. I'm curious.

Here's the rub. She always returns to a young, female despite she is over 80 years old. It makes sense to think that is the form at which she has decided to stay or perhaps it was how she looked when she started to control and use her powers. It became her "normal" look.

Her being born non-genered is a non-issue. Raven is a homo superior, a gendered species. In fact I'll go farther and say that most multi-celluar organisms are gendered except for some plants.

 Did you miss the part where I said that her mutation would have kicked in at puberty, therefore she wouldn't have been born with blue skin? Even if that isn't the case, did you also miss the part where I said that it's in her character to be in her true form when she's not in a morph? I'll say it again, she's spent most of her life fighting for mutants to be theirselves. She's not going to turn into a big hypocrite and show that she's never been herself this entire time.

when i meant that i meant men who claim they love their wives and dont cheat, sleep around with other men with no protection and end up givin it to the women. the lies and the fact they dont care for women is triflin

Okay, I thought you misunderstood my statements.

WEll its based on my past contact with Bisexuals that this is normally the case, so its an informed opinion if anything.

I know that was sarcastic but I'd say it was pretty accurate. A lot of the Bi Girls i know, youd swear it was just because theyd run out of men they hadn't slept with.

Its all psychological anyway. People are only homosexuals because of how theyve been influenced over their lives so its clear how the lines could merge.
