Was Mystique Really Raven?

I do not know if this has already been posted. Think about this. When Mystique gets the cure dart from the cop she turns into Raven Darkholme...her normal body. Well, after that she tells the government where Magneto is and they only find Multiple Man. Could Mystique have faked her curing by turning into her normal self...like she did in X2??? Or else could she have regained her powers from the weak cure,just as Magneto did at the end of the movie. How else would Magneto have known when the government was going to attack his hideout. I am 100% MM didn't stand there for 24 hours waiting for them to attack. Mystique could have very well faked it all so that the cop inside the trailer, before being shot out by Pyro, would have seen it happen to confirm it to the President.????

She took it for Magneto. If she was on her own I've no doubt she could dodge it, but she took the needle for the greater good of Magneto's cause.

mystique really did try and screw over magneto i guess magneto jus saw it coming. that was perfect for mystiques character she doesnt hold ties and she gets revenge wit a smile on her face

i think what chaseter means is that Mystique may have recovered from the cure already, seeing what we saw from Magneto at the end of the film.


its a remote possibility, but then given the timing its too soon. it could very well be Raven as a human being ratting out on the Brotherhood just as it was shown in the movie. i have no doubt that her power will return. what's more interesting would be to see the dyanmics between her and Magento if ever they will meet again .

She doesn't have superhuman speed.

Did you saw what happen to Magneto when he got stabbed with the darts? He lost his power. Mystique wasn't faking it since she did get hit. Unless she wore a protective bra, which I highly doubt.

If it was all some cunning plot, it would have been mentioned, or hinted at, rather than being kept a secret. I think you're grasping at straws.

Mystique either lied to the government or her powers may have reverted back as Magneto's are doing. Magneto is an older man, maybe it takes him longer for his body to recover??? Who knows. Leech's powers are limited, I am sure the cure is the same.

No...I really don't give a s*** if Mystique got cured. She has had more screen time than a lot of more important characters. I am just speculating at the fact that Magneto would have known that Mystique would go tell on him...he wouldn't have.

well magneto probably already had a set up "meeting places" for him to hide and whatnot and maybe she knew this forest was one of them.

I like to go with the idea of her giving them all the information on Magneto. It shows she doesn't take being abandoned lieing down.

She got hit by the dart - she took it for Magneto.

He then dropped her like a bad habit because she was now no longer one of them.

Thats pretty simple but form there it's a bit unclear.

Did she volunterily give up the info to get back at Magneto or did she give the government duff info to get back into Mag's good books?

I don't know. I think Mystique loved Magneto unconditionally and would do anything for him...get hit by a cure dart is one example. Magneto had to drop her because she became what he was fighting against. He cannot be a hypocritical leader and have people still believe and follow him. I think Mystique gave the government dupe info and that is why MM was there and ready when the military arrived. It just so conveniently fits together that way. Otherwise, how would Magneto know that Raven would go tell on him? How did he know when it would happen?

in any case we get an indicatin that the cure isn't permanent. I suspect higher class mutants will be shaking the effects off sooner than others but then they would end up all losing their humanity and reverting back to their old selves...
