Should the MCU build a continuity with the street level heroes?

I think that'd be pretty cool. Like make the new Daredevil movie connected to "The Amazing Spiderman" and any other movie based on a street level hero such as the Punisher or Luke Cage or Moonknight for instance. And then do a small scale Avengers type of film with all the characters.

have a movie based on Code: Blue.
Lieutenant Stone: Denzel Washington

But... Daredevil is Fox, Spider-Man is Sony, and the others are Marvel...

No, they shouldn't. What they should do is, eventually, make some movies that look upon the street level heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There is absolutely no reason to create a separate world for them.

And no, there will not be any heroes in it who are not controlled by Marvel/Disney. Live with it.

The new Spiderman is Sony? I wasn't aware. But I remember reading that if the new DD movie doesn't find a director to replace David Slade by the Fall the rights go to Disney I believe.

I'd rather just see solo movies for Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Moon Knight, Shang-Chi, Blade etc. No reason to connect them.

I would like whatever street level heroes Marvel makes movies about to exist in the regular MCU, just, you know, at "street level," so not fighting alien invasions and whatnot. Luke Cage could be kind of hte bridge between the two worlds, if he joins Avengers. His movie could have a scene talking to Fury or Tony Stark in a cameo, saying something along the lines of "You want my help now, but you didn't seem to care to much about helping these people when two monsters were tearing their homes apart."

Awesome! But yes I would love to see such a thing. A marvel knights film would be awesome. They have the avengers, will soon have the guardians of the galaxy, so why not Marvel Knights. Truthfully I wish Marvel/Disney had the FF & X rights back so they could do an Inhumans, Thanos imperative, or an Illuminati movie. Especially the last one so they can do world war hulk.

Yes, but only if they get the film rights to Daredevil back. I believe they can build it without Spider-Man or Daredevil, but they need one of those 2.

....Other than the fact that most of those were tied to Heroes for Hire at some point or other....? :yay:

Yeah, I definitely support the idea of a "Marvel Knights" subcategory of street level heroes' films; but they still need to be part of the larger Avengers universe....just not likely that they'd cross paths with any of the Avengers, except for a rare cameo or two.

Marvel have the rights to the Inhumans and are currently developing a film around the property.

Sweet baby Jesus yes!

Seeing as how most of the "Knights" have become avengers including most recently Daredevil, they indeed cross paths. Hell fury puts together an off the record team to handle the nasty street level stuff that Avengers don't have time for, or either what fury doesn't want them to know. Most of the knights they have Cage, Punisher, Blade, Shang Chi, Black Widow, and Black Panther to name a few.

I think establishing nad acknowledging things is great, but they don;t necessarily need to work toward a larger team-up film. Cameoes and Power Man and Iron First team-up movie for sure, but I don't think they need to structure it like the Avengers lead-ins were. The only one of the "street level" guys I would care to see in an Avengers movie is Luke Cage.

That being said, one idea for a "team up" film, outside of Heroes For Hire, would be a "Secret War" type film (even though that mini series was not good), where Fury could get together a team of people like Cap, Daredevil (if he is back at Marvel), Cage, and Hawkeye and Black Widow (filling in for Spidey and Wolverine) to go on a big black ops mission that affects the MCU as a whole.

While I'd love to see their individual movies, I have no particular interest in seeing Spider-man, Punisher, Moonkight and/or Daredevil team-up or become a "team", or even crossover in a movie, just cause they are supposed "street level", or were published under one banner.

However I would love it if for example- Iron Fist, Luke Cage, maybe throw in Misty Knight & Colleen Wing Daughters of the Dragon movies all lead into to a Heroes for Hire movie.

So really it depends what characters you are talking about, but just across the board they are "Street level" so lets put them in a movie together, no.

ALthough I would rather movies, I feel that their street level heroes will be put on/regulated to the small screen in TV series rather than on film

I'm not sure I want Marvel Studio s to get the rights to Daredevil. I don't want my Daredevil filled with Facebook/Myspace jokes.

I'd sure as hell rather see that in a DD movie than Ben 'n' Jen as Matt 'n' Elektra.

The average number of Facebook/Myspace jokes per Marvel Studios movie is less than 1

Isn't there just the "I don't want to see this on your Myspace page" comment from Iron Man and the "I'm putting this on facebook" comment from Thor?
