The Dark Knight Show Me Your SWAG :)

Since the film reel is essentially flat I would use a really nice shadow box, black background. That way you can customize the area around the reel, and hang it on your wall.

Just my 2C.

Oh, and I have a mass produced Joker Heist mask, and it sure don't look as good as those!

How would I mount it without letting it just settle on the bottom of the box? I have never had a shadow box but I can see that basically its a box with a glass/plastic cover, pretty ordinary i guess, but looks like it would do the job, but I would hope to be able to mount the reel in the center of it somehow.

Wow! These thing are truly impressive. All I ever got was stuff from the Dent Mobile and the phone call 000-000-0000.

All I ever wanted out of this thing was a mask and a card. If anybody has a soul out there, and would like to give one on over to a crazied fan, hell, I'd pay a fee for it too. I've gone everywhere and contacted so many people, but all of them pretty much ignored my emails. Oh well.

I believe in Harvey Dent.

You could have a custom one built that could hold it. I've had something built and it turned out great.

Very small collection, but the above is only my viral stuff, plus I am in the UK.

I also have:

why so serious poster canvas
some joker posters
some of paulv70's great replicas
TDK trailer reel
CFB mask (on the way)
CFB tee (on the way)
and obviously loads of TDK mags, kerings, clippings and everything that I could get my hands on! (like all of us!)

Yeh, I hate buying viral stuff from eBay, but being UK based, a majority of my stuff is acquired that way.

I did buy it on eBay, only ever seen two listed. This was the secon, and cheaper, one.

The box is beautiful.

Oh I saw that on Ebayio! It's a beautiful thing and there really isn't many around, I'd keep it in the box and in a plastic box and in a sealed box

:p

Enjoy! :yay:

First, sweet card.

Second, where's your ebay account?

But I like this...I didn't know they were planning on doing them a la goon mask style but it makes sense and I am pleased to find this out. I'll definitely have to pick some up around Halloween.

I didn't post my account info on this site because I wasn't sure if that was allowed. I see people do link to auctions on ebay but then they get flamed for it, so again I didn't bother. But my account is the same on ebay tkukoc.

I sold 3 masks and then ended the auction, holding the 1 mask I have left. But, I have a few more coming this week and will put more up on ebay at that time.

---Update---
Alright, picked up 6 more today... So I will be adding them to ebay in a couple hours.

OK updating on the Reel digital conversion process.

As I posted a week or so ago, I am really trying to get the Chicago Jokerized Reel converted digitally, and am making some headway but not much. I sent an email to over 30 Professors and heads of departments of Chicago university film departments, and received a few emails back. One person gave me the web links to a few businesses in the area that would do it for a moderate price, as he said, however I have not contacted them because a moderate price is probably quite a large price for myself heh. However one department head sent me the link to Reelchicago.com and chicago.ifp.org, and told me to contact them and ask for assistance. Now reelchicago probably will be a long shot, but he specifically mentioned that I should ask Chicago.ifp.org to see if I can get my story posted on their boards (which is basically their front page) and see if anyone would be willing to help that way. I did write them a couple of days ago and have yet to hear back. I would be greatly appreciative if I could get several other SSH members to visit the site, see what kind of organization they have, and contact themselves showing your interest in the task. Perhaps if they get several people showing interest they will see its not just one guy thinking hes important and deserves attention. the email i used is "[email protected]" in case you want to reference me, and I gave my full name, you can use Kevin.

Again any and all help is seriously appreciated. I know people want to see this, but I feel this is going to be something I could use help on, as the task seems too daunting to accomplish alone. I suck when it comes to wording such emails and I feel like they will just look over it and ignore it, so anyone that can reach out to these organizations to back me up will hopefully help a great deal! Thanks to anyone who can lend a hand in a task we all wish to see through

First, awesome DCT for working so hard on those!
And second. HelloBeautiful? I just died of jealous.

Not exactly swag, but here's a little something I made for myself:

Unfortunately the font wasn't available for purchase so I had to use a graphic and cut and paste each individual letter. So please don't ask, I can't make any more.

If you ever get pulled over on the road, hand that to the cop, and just see what he does.

Are there no cinema's you've directly contacted that might have someone who'd do it for you?

Surely, there's a film lover inside who'd die for the chance of converting it over or some friend of a friend?

I know you've probably thought of this, I also think it's amazing what you're trying to do. If I was on that side of the pond I'd definitely help!!

Good luck :)

This is a bit random as well, but would Chicago Tourist Board be worth a shot or local actual film companies? No harm in trying an email!!

I know this is OT but it struck me so funny I had to share.

So about two months ago my brother and I submitted entries in the Reese's Batman Promotion where we were supposed to send in videos destroying or defacing bat shaped peanut butter cups for the Joker. My brother's won the random drawing and today he brought over the prize:

That's 6 pounds of Reese's candy! Talk about your irony.

Here's my entry and here's his.

I don't know of any cinemas (although no one's saying they don't exist) that are equipped to transfer the analog celluloid to digital. I mean the thought counts, but I can't see any movie theaters that exist for entertainment purposes who could do this...and most probably wouldn't even if they could (because everyone seemed to have a pretty hard time even getting a cam version of the trailer).

exactly. and yeah I have my own cam version of my trailer, but I cant post it. Id say its slightly better quality than the one thats out now for the Chicago trailer. My friend is the manager at a theater, and she didnt know I was taking the video, and when she saw the camera afterward she freaked out and I pretended to delete it. but I will not post it, theres too many legal concerns for them i guess

They sell that shirt on the WB Store now for a hefty $90.

Yes, the shirt was part of an extremely limited ran promotion by WB. Apparently these shirts were sent to only well-known celebrities or higher-ups in the related industries.
