the Oct 2 2008 one was announced directly by paramount so i guess that one is correct. Also they are referring to it as Shutter Island so i wonder if the title has reverted back, i hope so.

Max von Sydow, Emily Mortimer and Jackie Earle Haley have joined the cast of Martin Scorsese's mystery drama Shutter Island for Paramount, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The three join Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams and Patricia Clarkson in the film, which was adapted by Laeta Kalogridis from Dennis Lehane's 2004 novel.

The story revolves around two U.S. marshals (DiCaprio and Ruffalo) who travel to a Massachusetts island to investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane. Chaos ensues for the two as they encounter a web of deceit, a hurricane and a deadly inmate riot that leaves them trapped on the island.

Von Sydow will play one of the hospital's physicians, while Mortimer will play Rachel, an escaped hospital patient. Haley will play an inmate.

Production is set to begin on March 6.

I just read that all teh extras for the mental hospital had to shave there heads, so yeah its an extra.

Could be or could be some patient who thinks he is still in the military. Yeah he looks like a patient for sure, the pic has me interested in how disturbing Scorsese is gonna make the Asylum stuff.

What's going on with the title for this movie? Have they changed back to Shutter Island, because both ComingSoon and IMDb are calling it Shutter Island

I actually can't wait for this, the story sounds extremely intriguing, very talented actors are involved, Martin Scorsese + the time period it's set in... I'm very excited.
