Siege

Wait, why do people think Herc's actually going to die? Is is his book cancelled after the story we are on right now? It just seems to me that he's one of the heroes that should most be operating in the Heroic Age.

Plus, it wouldn't be the first time a death prophecy turned out wrong. And I can easily see Cho going in his place if something did come about like that. (As sad as that would be.)

Looks incredible. There's a lot of great action crammed in those few pages. Just how the hell is a normal guy supposed to drag Thor around like that?

As far as the Sentry killing Ares, there's no turning back for him now. My guess is Sentry is going to kill Osborn in SIEGE #3 (you guys can forget about Spidey doing it), fully allowing The Void to take over. Then it will be all of the Marvel U vs. Sentry/Void (just like DCU vs. Superboy-Prime in Infinite Crisis). It will most likely the big three to take down the Sentry when it's all said and done. Remember Cap and Tony were the ones that brought Sentry into the Avengers back in '04, now they'll have to clean up their mess.

The solicit for an upcoming issue is Herc's funeral :(

Not sure if it's canceled though, it might be.

Since when does a god dying mean that his comic's necessarily canceled? I think Herc will probably die (they're having a funeral for him in a couple months, after all), but he'll just wind up in Hades and fight his way back to the land of the living. And, thanks to Pak and Van Lente, it will be awesome. :hehe:

why is anyone thinking it's a big dead if Herc or Ares die. They're the same as Thor.. they'll come back. after This Herc arc raps up there's two issue mini series about his death seems kind of odd but I doubt this title is canceled it's one of Marvel's best.

Well Olympians don't have a ragnarok-type rebirth like Asgardians have. I think they'll literally just have to fight their way back to the land of the living like Corp said.

Technically...

I think it says anything short of total molecular dispersal they can heal from.

And guess who recently found out they had control of all molecules?

So, it's POSSIBLE, but there's always an out when you have gods involved. For all we know, Hela swapped him out at the last second, and has him being tortured in her realm for amusement.

I hope they kill Sentry, god I hate him. Make him evil, he'll be more interesting than being a hero. Oh, and good riddance about Ares.

Huggsies

The thing is...
How the hell would you even kill Sentry?? The guy's been blown to bits like 3 times already, he's pretty much a god. Marvel's made this guy way too powerful.

Magic. Send his arse to another dimension or something.

Wait, Morgana tried that. Nvm

So does anyone think by the end of Siege that we might finally figure out what "H.A.M.M.E.R." stands for?

I want to know what it stands for. "Homeland (something) Metahuman Military Emergency Response," maybe?

I'd like to see a splinter group of HAMMER live on after SIEGE. Many of them were SHIELD agents that were real happy to see Stark and Hill get booted by Osborn.

It gnaws at my curiosity. I think what I came up with works pretty well, too. I just can't figure out what the A would stand for.

Eh, keeping H.A.M.M.E.R. around would only get in the way of Hydra. It'd be too similar only a little more personal.

Speaking of S.H.I.E.L.D. where the hell has Dum Dum Dugan been featured since coming back from being a Skrull Captive?

He must have got lost in the mix since that's right about when Osborn took over SHIELD. I doubt he was welcomed back.

Secret Warriors. Now and then. I haven't been reading it lately, but when I was, he only showed up for a couple issues. They were really cool appearances, though. He and Gabriel Jones set up a private military company called (of course) the Howling Commandos. Basically, they rebuilt SHIELD as military contractors. :hehe:

I need to get caught up on Secret Warriors, but last I read, SHIELD wasn't fit to be in charge of anything :o

Ah. I've not read Secret Warriors. I just couldn't really get into any of the cast and I'm not the hugest fan of Nick Fury.
