Siege

Okay, said I'd be back to talk about what I thought of Siege 3, so here I am :)

Personally, I thought the issue was great, and can't wait for #4! Coipel really excels at drawing huge battle scenes.

I will be intentionally a little vague but say some things that are in the issue.

Not major major spoilers, but some spoilers are a-comin...

In Siege 3 we see...
-Thor versus Sentry
-Sentry really lets loose and does some MAJOR damage
-Norman Osborn falls, for now anyway (won't say how or who finally takes him down)
-Two words: The Void

One complaint I will say is that when they really get going with the Void, they use another new look for him. I know he's a shape shifter, but I don't like the look they went with. Wish they'd gone with the classic shadow monster thing.

Once again I'm tempted to say absolutely everything but I wouldn't want to ruin it all for all of ya :) The above spoilers should be vague for most people's tastes I think.

I thought the ish was great. Hope you all like it too!

So I guess that means [blackout]The Void[/blackout] is the "big bad" at the end afterall?

[blackout]He's a f**king Shape shifter. He can look like whatever the artist wants him too. From Shadow demon to Australia sized black hurricane. [/blackout]

so ..
does Thor at least put up a fight? Bendis sees him as a glass cannon.

I don't want to give away what happens. I will say that the Thor vs Sentry part is fairly brief in this ish. I'm sure we'll see more in #4.

Maybe Thor hits Sentry with a MASSIVE lightning bolt leaving nothing but The Void.

If that happened the entire area could be destroyed. If that drug addict does buy it, I want Tony Stark to say in his face,"you're the biggest waste of time in Avengers history".

And this is a team that's had Gilgamesh, Tigra, and Starfox in it. That says something.

D-Man's situation was much different from Sentry's. I wonder how they explained his recovery from brain damage.

Goddamn, this is how you do an event.

Those last four pages had hairs standing on my neck.

Does Loki appear in the issue at all? I was enjoying his machinations during the build-up, but thus far he's seemed like something of a bit-part player in the central Siege event.

I imagine he's sitting back and enjoying the fruits of his labor now. He was working toward getting Osborn off the deep end and attacking Asgard.

Nope. At one point Norman is yelling for him to do something, but he's never shown.

Also, [blackout]Sentry confirmed to be infected by Carnage when he ripped the symbiote apart way back when[/blackout] :awesome:

The action and dialogue is really sweet. Coipel's art is very delicious too, loved the last pages as people have pointed out!

What? How the heck did you get any kind of Carnage reference out of that ish? Or were you making some kind of joke that I don't get?

That was awesome! Great issue. Dude, I don't wanna say anything! But I do.

Spider-Man! Osborn! Sentry?! Wow.

Souless, what you're confirming....really? I didn't get that at all. ???? Why do you think that?
