Siege

Honestly, I think it's time to get away from the mindless "Hulk SMASH!!!" kind of character and focus on a more intelligent Hulk (like the Professor or Green Scar) and actually act like a hero as opposed to something that people think is a monster for good reason. It's time for the Hulk to return to the Avengers fighting alongside Steve, Tony, Hank, Janet, and Thor.

And dare I say, I'd also like to see Daredevil join the Avengers. Just to see how it would work.

Then you loose the core appeal of the character. Its like if Peter Parker become rich and famous, and the world loved.

I honestly liked it when Peter Parker was living in Stark Tower living a very comfortable life in a luxurious bedroom with Jarvis being a butler. I like it when people recognize Spider-Man as a hero.

It's called character progression :awesome:

While the stories themselves range from decent to pretty good, I really don't like the fact that they reduced Spidey to never being married, piss poor, people's opinions on him are mixed, and overall kind of a loser. They brought him back to where he originally was, but made him a total loser along with it, and completely undid years of character progression.

The same reason why I don't like Roy going back to the name Arsenal, I don't like it how the Hulk went back to being a mindless monster after World War Hulks, and if I were in charge of comics, I would have kept Hal Jordan and Barry Allen dead (but don't take that as a Hal or Barry hating comment because I'm loving what's going on in Green Lantern and the Flash).

I think a good direction for the Hulk would be that while people think that he is a monster due to past actions, Banner is using the Hulk to try and help save the world. You can have him interact with people like Steve Rogers and Spider-Man who would have faith in Banner trying to turn things around while you have Tony Stark and Thor be wary of him.

I'd be on for it. Nothing made me more angry than seeing the Hulk after his Planet Hulk progression instantly went back to the decades old Savage hulk; he's been "gravage" for a while now. Either way, up until the recent fall of the hulks stuff, I've been enjoying Banner and Skarr's adventures and am hoping that once ol' jade jaws returns, he continues to have a great streak of character progression. Banner's immensely grown during his "cured" phase, so Hulk should continue his progression that's been seen for a few years. That's just my $.02 and pocket lint. :woot:

I actually wouldn't have a problem with Spider-Man becoming rich, famous, and loved. He's saved the world way too many times to still have crap thrown at him when he stops muggers. It's like when the X-Men moved to San Francisco and got deputized by the mayor into the city's beloved new guardians-- frankly, it was about time.

I say put the Hulk back in the Avengers, and give us back the Professor. Or a less bitter Green Scar.

Not to turn this into a hulk thread but its baffling how Marvel decided to regress hulk into his dumb form after the Green Scar personality proved extremely popular. There was so much more potential with that personality and they barely scratched the surface and then they let Jeph Loeb turn him dumb again? Was it because of the movie that was hitting theaters that year? Why cant they do something different with the Hulk for a change and let it stick for a while like they've done with Cap or Ironman?

I just want Hank Pym to keep leading his own Avengers team.:csad:

It's crazy when you think about it that in the storied history of the Avengers the first 5 members (including the Hulk) have never got back together for an adventure. The closest was when Banner helped the Avengers against Diablo's Hulk army during Busiek's run. Unless I'm missing another occurrence.

Sometime in the early 70s the original five (along with everyone else who had been an Avenger to that point, which was still under twenty heroes) teamed up to foil a plot by Ares, who had overthrown Zeus, to conquer Earth and Asgard.

Nobody's posted this yet?

Great cover!

All their uniforms are torn, so that confirms it. Mephisto will be an Avenger.

Because despite what you may think of Jeph Loeb's writing, he still sells a **** load of comics (Hulk, Ultimates 3, Ultimatum, Fallen Son, Wolverine were top selling comics).

And like Geoff Johns and Brian Michael Bendis, when you sell a **** load of comics, you can do whatever the **** you want. The only difference is that for the most part Geoff Johns and Brian Michael Bendis write good comics while asides from a few good issues, Jeph Loeb writes ****** comics :awesome:

Jeph Loeb gets by with fan favorite artists and idiots with spending money.

Ah, Coipel, I love you. A lesser artist would've taken the opportunity to place very strategic tears right across the boob areas of the ladies' costumes, but not you.

I was thinking of Frank Cho, but Land would totally do it too. Pervs + a bit of talent. ;)

You say that like it's bad. what's wrong with a little boob exposure?

If you're going to have tears across boobs, you should be equal across all sexes and have tears across manboobs too. We need to get Volstagg on that cover.

Actually, most of the dudes in that pic have exposed boobs.

Yeah, it's actually all about tearing up the men's costumes. Poor Patriot's running out of shirt.

You'll probably have to go to porn comics for that. Mainstream media will tease boobs all day long, but they tend to completely avoid penises for some reason.
