The Dark Knight Singapore’s Ng Chin Han lands major role in TDK

So when you need an Asian actor it's should be a well known martial arts mega-star?
ZING! :woot:

As an Asian-American, I'm rather tired of seeing the same faces in US films over and over and over again. (IMO, it was a depressing waste of Chow Yun Fat having first billing in Pirates3.) It's about time we had fresh new Asian acting talent in an American film. Kudos to Nolan! :)

Who the hell cares where the guy is from? Why are you even arguing about this? As long as he is a good actor then that is all, why does everything need to be so complicated on these boards? I don't get it.

Agreed.

Hopefully this actor is bring my dreams come true by playing Mr. Tau in cgi create scene of villains rule the world?

“The scripts that they let you read for the auditions are not the scripts for the exact film movie because everything’s so top secret. You get scripts that are printed on special paper that cannot be photocopied, there are invisible watermarks, all kinds of things. You feel like a spy in a James Bond movie when you are looking at these scripts.”

that says something about those sides we read, don't it?

Good find. I suspect Nolan picked him from his Theatre background.

Yeah, it really does.

Ugh they shoulda cast Sir Anthony Hopkins for that role.

He could be a money launder/accountant for the mob and Batman takes him down.

some yakuza boss, thats my guess

He's going to play Samurai from Super Friends.

I'm thinking Triad, remember part of the film takes place in Hong Kong (or atlesat somewhere in Asia and that's the local they're filming in).

With Ra's Al Ghul down, Crane is going to need some contact in Asia to supply him with the blue flower.

I must admit...at first I laughed it off...but doesn't this film feel like it's getting slightly crowded?

I haven't read the script. The number of actors in it isn't any way to judge if this film is 'crowded" or not.

screw it, i doubt this guys role is any larger than something like black mask's accountant.

This is probably that "Mr. Lau" talked about in the sides. If so, it seems to be a decent sized part.

I think it's a "major role" for the guy, not in the context of the movie.
