Sequels Sinister Six in ASM3

I wish they didn't include the Sinister 6 teasers in the credits. If thats the line-up, there would be no more surprises. And it would also just fuel to endless speculation and questions.

Can anyone explain how this is supposed to work as a movie? They are doing a Sinister Six movie just about the Sinister Six, doing what exactly though? Going on a big heist? Taking over the world? Spider-Man isn't there to stop them?

Do they encounter a threat that's even worse than them and become antiheroes?

I mean, for Sinister Six, don't we want to see Spider-Man fight them? I'm not sure what the angle is here. Just trying to understand. Will audiences really go for a story about a team of supervillains being villainous? Especially with no Spider-Man around?

I could see the movie being about the forming of S6, how the group gathers and grows, maybe with some villains having to fight each other (similar to what happened in Avengers) and ending with S6 formed and "now lets take on Spider-Man".

But I have no idea what they will actually do.

Yeah I don't know before the sinister six movie was annoced I just figure that the amazing spider man 3 would introduce the rest of the six that weren't in amazing spider man 2 or 1 and then have the sinister six in the amazing spider man 4 but now I am confused lol

I always assumed that the movie would take place from the perspective of the Sinister Six. They would be the main characters and peter would be a secondary character who pops up from time to time to fight them. But yeah, I don't know where they are going with this.

I've been wondering the same thing. They talk as if the sinister six will happen AFTER amazing 3 which is a mistake as the entire point of the group is to watch them attempt to take out spider-man. My hope is that they use the sinister six movie as a bridge to the third film. Sinister shows the group forming and in amazing 3, they go after spider-man.

You are going to spend $200 million on them forming and doing what? Just a bunch of segments of their backstories and they meet up and Harry says, "Let's all go after Spider-Man, he's the only one that stands in our way."

^I hope Spidey plays a part in the film, like a sinister six story from the comics but focusing more on the villains and their backstories, not from Peter's point of view. Since the Sinister Six film will be a direct sequel to Spidey 3 it will be already established who Spidey is and who are the villains. So I guess same story we know but focusing more on the villains, than on Peter's life. Maybe even add the black suit and make Spidey mindlessly fighting the Six and their goal to rid him of the symbiote.
I just hope the spin offs play as direct sequels and not individual installments.

I heard someone suggest Jared Harris (Mad Men, Sherlock Holmes Game Of Shadows, Lincoln) as Doc Ock and thought that he would be a good pick.

I agree a sinister six solo film is pointless. That's a story best reserved for a series ender before the next inevitable reboot. I'm a fan but everyone is attempting to copy the success of the MCU and its an epic fail to give them a solo film venom Mabey but even then heroes and villains are only as good as eachother

but you can't have sinister 6 unless u give spidey some help (daredevil and wolverwine) otherwise he's going to get stomped.

What they need to do is hack dock ock for part 3, introduce mary jane, introduce jamison and make it as similiar to the original spider-man 2 with tobey in it.

In SSM he defeats them by using the symbiote. So defeating them with the symbiote could set up Venom. But that's just an idea. I feel like if anything, he will probably get help from Black Cat.

They appear to be using the S6 as an avenue to casting a new SM...reason why it in their film and not in TASM film. They will probably nearly kill him, possibly leave him for dead, assuming that they've killed him...ending Andrew's run as the webhead. A unique way to end his run as SM.

I think with The Gentleman visiting Harry and talking about forming the team especially since it was implied he broke Alexi out of prison and gave him the Rhino suit that The Gentleman will have a hand in the creation of the other members on the outside while Harry buys his time on the inside.

He could cause accidents in the labs at Oscorp that bring forth Dr. Octopus and Vulture while the "foreign backers" could easily be Kraven and Chameleon. Heck, Doc Ock himself could be a foreign backer already.

Also, we haven't really seen Fiers' face so perhaps he isn't who we think he is but Chameleon or Quentin Beck. After all, the man is very theatrical... heck look at the orchestration of Norman's death. Even if the public was told Norman is dead, everyone in the audience knows he will return, and in a bigger way and that illusion put upon the world is something a person like Mysterio would pull.

Besides, with the green laser scanning Norman's body and head, I assume if there was a prototype healing suit in the Secret Projects Division, you can't tell me they couldn't bring Norman back from the dead with a suit of his own. The only problem is his disease has made him more grotesque and the effects are irreversible.

In case there was any doubt that Doc Ock and Vulture were just teases and nothing more:

If you ventured out to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 this weekend, you were no doubt left with a few questions, such as: "What was up with those Doctor Octopus and Vulture teasers?" and "Where do we go from here?". While the announcement of the third and fourth "Amazing Spider-Man" films tells us that Sony is planning on keeping this franchise going for some time, director Marc Webb says they had to make sure that those super villain teasers weren't present for nothing.

"I had to talk to Drew Goddard (The Sinister Six writer/director) and make sure these things were going to be played out in the future universe," he said in an interview with Grantland. "There are some very specific plans, for example, for [Doc] Ock and for Vulture. Or the man in the hat at the end of the first movie. All those things emerge with varying degrees of emphasis."

before we see dock ock, vulture, venom, and carnage, we need to get the green goblin right. Not sure what harry was (white goblin? hob goblin) but he wasn't the green goblin.

I think a S6 film would be great if it was released before TASM3 as a set-up for the villains so that we aren't wasting time in TASM3 having to introduce a lot of new faces. It can justify having the symbiote in TASM3 too as there will be more time to introduce that.
The only problem is how many people will actually watch the S6 solo film if they don't know that it's related to Spider-Man, not having "Spider-Man" in the title, so that when TASM3 is in cinemas, people won't have a clue who most of the ensemble are or how they came to be.

Whether as a solo villain or as part of the Sinister Six, what would you guys say to Sharlto Copley as Kraven?

The appeal of the Sinister Six is Spider-Man having to face six of his biggest villains. Is the Sinister Six movie doing this? Because without that I don't see how the movie is going be all that successful. I don't see a mass audience flocking to a movie about Spider-Man villains without Spider-Man himself.

Yeah,a movie just about villains is gonna suck.just imagine if you took spied your of TASM2,the movie would of been horrible.just seeing Electro walk around.
