Sleeping Dogs

GTA:SA had fine mechanics,
but i know what ur getting at. i just hope the cars have a nicr weight to them the way they do in say GTA IV

I have to wait till next week to get my copy of Sleeping Dogs as well as Darksiders 2. I'll have plenty to do.

I'm most likely going to have to wait a while, but seeing the good things I'm hearing about it, I'm wondering if I should buy it instead of renting it like I was planning to.

This will be part of my next two games from Gamefly

Looks like its going to be decent.

Iv done a few missions and so far its awesome. The combat is really fun and brutal. Iv driven around the city a bit and it looks great, the driving mechanics are also quite nice(at least on a motorcycle). I love that you can customize Wei Shen's outfits. Haven't done any gunplay yet, hopefully thats as solid as everything else so far.

Once you've played it a little more can you write a quick review?

Sleeping Dogs (Xbox 360/PS3)

Victor and Scott awaken the Sleeping Dogs. Does this open-world game have bite, or does it need to be put to sleep?

August 14 – Reviews on the Run – Full Show

Jose and Ben revisit their favourite games on the NES, ascend the mountain with Ice Climber, check the Weather Apps before heading outside, Jaws surfaces on Blu-ray, and don’t mess with the Sleeping Dogs.

scott and Vic awakened the sleeping dog's fantastic voice over work, great fighting mechanic a "semi fun driving mechanic," to elaborate,
They said the driving mechanic is a bit loose which is odd for a game that's been in production for 4/ 5 years that was one of the few problems the Game has. But over all despite that flaw this is a fun enjoyable experience. This is a fresh open world game that's definitely Worth playing.

Vic score is a 8.5 and scotts score is a 8.5 as well.

If you’re looking to explore the criminal underbelly of a city and get yourself in some trouble, you could do worse than Sleeping Dogs while waiting for Grand Theft Auto V.

seem GI didn't like it as much as the others but still said the games good.

Mostly the driving mechanics and gun play please and thankyou.

For the most part the driving mechanics are spot on. The cars aren't as physics detailed as say a GTA IV, but they are really responsive. The cars pretty much control like you'd expect in say a Need for Speed title. More on the arcade side compared to GTA. Still haven't gotten around to shooting anyone yet, but the hand to hand is so fun, I'm not sure id ever want to, haha.

So you didn't run into the driving bug yet? cool to hear pat.

I guess it's in only certain sections with in the game. they said there are parts where you loose control of steering with the cars. but it's an issue that can be over looked since the games so fun. It must be really deep into the game though .

Oh wow, yea i haven't run into that yet. There are some camera issues tho when just getting into a vehicle. Sometimes the camera won't focus quickly in the direction you are facing, but this seems to only happen when you are near buildings and on a bike.

Activision........You ****ING idiots, how could you let this game go, this game is damn great. Oh, I'm gonna be playing this for a loooooooooooooooooong while

Haha i hope it sells well. Just another finger towards Activision.

It's simple, Activision let it go because they knew they couldn't make a new one every year. :hehe:

Loving it so far. The parkour-esque moves make the foot chases really fun and the combat definitely isn't as easy as button mashing with all the different kind of enemies. I've died several times already in hand to hand combat during missions but am loving every second of this game.

I hope there's time in between Darksiders 2 and Borderlands 2 so I can give this a go, it looks excellent
