Heres heres a couple pics of my venom mask I'm making. It's still a work in progress but I'll update this thread when it's done.
Heres a pic of the unfinished sculpture early on:

Heres a pic of the slightly raised brick pattern I silk screened, pic doesn't really show it off well it's a glossy black not a lighter color than the fabric, it just looks that way when the light hits it right.

Heres the mask as it looks now, I've got some work to do on the teeth, the webbing, lenses and a few other adjustments before it's done. The teeth and gums are heavily glossed and wet looking but once again the pics don't really show it. I'll have to get someone else to photograph the finished one for me.

nice mask. harry goblin can you post the link with that mask???

just type in venom mask, and click the price highest first. it should be pretty obvious which one it is. i beleive its the second one down.

none the less, that is the nicest "smikring" venom mask ive seen. :)

Thanks guys. The one on ebay is very nice, I wish I could do an open mouth version like that but I wanted it to be a costume piece that would move with my mouth a bit. This is just a test peice, it was the first time I did silk screening and stuff in years hopefully my next one will look more profesional.
Spiderfan I cast the undershell in latex skinned foam.

It looks great. It looks like we have another talented artist here.

Best post by a newbie yet (no offence).

So I'm working on a Venom mask too, and I want mine to have the mouth open also. How did you do silk screening? (Where/how much $?)

i dont know why u said that but ok.

anyways honestly i think its decent because i have to compare to the movie one. it looks to me AMAZING but its not spot on. but id buy urs if it was a decent price. heres teh link

Eh. I like Haunt's better. You see, the ebay one, while it looks nice, his head reminds me of an ant-eater. The nose area/mouth are stretched out waaay too far...

Here's what movie venom looks like (head-wise)

Thanks! I did the silk screening myself, I took a course on it back in highschool. It can be pricey to set up. I built the frames myself since I wanted them big enough to do a full suit. PM me and I can give you some better info.
Thanks for the compliments everyone.

i didnt affend his work. i just compared it. then i just said i didnt know why he said that and than i said ok. im not insulting him. i said it was good. but i compared it then said it was decent. why do u care? its not even between me and u and apparentley the problem was solcved

i think the mesh eyes make me not like it as much but the final product should make me be amazed considering how good it is so far

Yeah I'm still undecided on the eyes. It looks like BasketBall shorts (material) but it's very bright, and I like it. I'm sure if I'd rather have the gym shorts, or the metal wired mesh. I'd have to see what the other one would look like.

yeah but honestly besides that and it being more black then purple its spot on. damn purple lmao
