Well, as with the last iss, I don't want to give away spoilers or do a blow by blow description. Just want to get the conversation started. If DS comes around some time and says it's alright to post them with blackouts and spoiler tags, I'll do so. But he could do that at anytime himself for the next year's worth of stories, so I wouldn't hold my breath....

I haven't been blown away by JRJR on this, but I think he's been solid(as usual). His first page of Spidey racing to the scene is very good. One pic is poster-material (imo)

There are a lot of elements in this story, which I think is probably hard to do. We touch on stories involving Norman, Menace, Vin, the Frontline staff, and they all contribute to the ongoing battle of Spidey, Venom, and Anti-Venom. (My favorite line is Spidey saying [BLACKOUT]"White this time? That's great. We haven't done white yet.") [/BLACKOUT]We also have what could be considered a racial slur directed towards A-V.

Norman has been really good in this story. No ranting or raving. Just coolly going about his business directing the T-bolts. I think were all waiting for him to pull on the mask, though. I hope Dan pulls that trigger. It seems like they've gone a fair bit to trying to convince everyone that Normie isn't the GG, but I hope they do it anyway.

There's a few revelations regarding Menace, his true intentions and any connection he might have to Normie (?)

The fight between them is a great three-way (???) with everyone fighting everyone cleverly done.

Anti-Venom:
1KO
1TKO

Well, you're kind of taking my word for it, so thanks.

I know that lots of people have been put off (or out) in recent months. But I think those still around are enjoying NWTD.

I should also say that it seems like they're taking Eddie in a new direction. Which is great. I always loved Eddie's story and connection to Sin-Eater (a classic spidey-story) I think he could be a very good character (not just generic villain), and they could be setting him up for a new "mission."

hmmmm, clones are you willing to shed some light on the status of eddie brock?
is he just venom again in another suit? (or was this a misunderstanding from spidey?)

which might cause another hatred type situation between the two....:csad:

I guess I'm not giving away too much talking about Eddie a little. In the last issue, it showed a little how Eddie has "changed" since he got, and was cured, of cancer. I think that internal change is genuine (for now ;) ) And in the great tradition of comics, that change is reflected in not only his suit, but his abilities as well. That's all I'll give away. I don't want to ruin all of DS' surprises.

hmmmmmmm....

thats all i need to hold me over for now. thanks clones. :yay:

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh.... spoilers!!!! :wow: :wow: :wow:

:woot: :woot: :woot:

Are you upset that I didn't give any, or upset that I gave away too much. I really am trying to be as vague as possible...

Nah mate you did a good job of minimal spoliers. You really just spoiled a line about colour and a certain juvenile.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm looking forward to wed, I'm liking Brock's new look, I'm seriously contemplating Mugenizing AVenom in the future.

There was one other thing, while not a Spidey spoiler, but a Marvel spoiler, maybe.

I haven't seen this before, so if this is old news, I apologize.

There's a full page ad(also on the cover) that features a close up of a human, and a Skrull holding hands, with the caption Embrace Change. There's a website of www.embracechange.org that really just directs you to Marvel's page. Now, over in the SI thread, I speculated that I thought it would be cool if the skrulls won the war initially, and we could have a year or so of stories featuring the heroes as the Resistance. I don't know if this is where they're going with this, but there it is.

You know me... I don't want spoilers... and you're good at keeping them vague, but when other people start talking... I freak out!!!

I don't know how you're getting this info, I didn't trust you at 1st, but I'm going to say that you are genuine.

Can you answer me this? How much of the book is V v. AV? 50%? 77%?

I subscribe to about 15 Marvel titles, and I get about 80-90% of them early, this issue I got on Friday.

I have an Early B/T thread that kind of died out do to a combination of my laziness, and, admittedly, I don't write good reviews.

I don't like to give spoilers (even in tags and such), because Dan Slott came around and in a roundabout way indicated that he was a little annoyed that people were getting early copies (from their shop owners, and other places) and then coming on here and misrepresenting the said issue. I respect that. He, and a whole lot of people, work really hard to make these things for us. If he wants it kept mum, that's cool with me. I think it's fair to tease a little bit, maybe stir up some interest, but I try to stay clear of major plot points, and reveals (that said, if there's a reveal along the lines of Colossus coming back, I probably won't be able to help myself.........just kidding DS. Your office is in a different building than the sub dept. right?......)

As for your question, that's hard to say since it's intercut with other scenes. For the most part, those scenes tie into, or are a part of the main event. The fight proper takes up more than 50-60% of the comic I'd say.

The intentions I talked about a little up above, the others you'll have to wait, because it gives away what I think will be a major plot point, not just for Eddie, but other character(s). Thanks for the polite inquiry, though. 'Please' is always noted (and appreciated).

I know, right? I actually made a special trip to the comic shop last week....TO PICK UP SPIDER-MAN! Just like the old days.

Thank you, Dan Slott. :word:
