Smallville Score/Soundtrack?

Oh man! Can't believe it, I didn't expect this until after the Finale!

I'm a little disappointed there isn't more, especially for a non-physical iTunes release. Still, though, I'm thrilled as punch with a lot of the track selections. "To Fly" makes the entire purchase worthwhile, IMO.

:D

Are these tracks from the entire series or just season 10?

I wonder if there will be any new tracks just for the series finale? You would think they would wait a little while more to put those in the album too.

I think its the entire series since Mark Snow has work there too, and some of it sounds like the earlier seasons, though for 10 years worth of stuff, I think 28 songs is not enough.

I'm thinking the same. I listened to the album on the drive in to work, and there's a lot of good stuff in there, but so many other good tracks that could have ended up on there, too... to say nothing of the Finale score, which I would love to see get its own release.

Side note, keep on eye on Febre's webpage and/or Twitter. He said that tracks that don't end up on the official release could end up on his website or on a promotional compilation. For promotional purposes only, of course. :p

I'm a little disappointed in the Green Arrow song now that I heard the whole thing, since it doesn't really have that main theme that was always played for Oliver during season 6. Instead, it sounds more like something from the Batman cartoon from the 90's.

I think Louis Febre's website has that one!

Two tracks that are missing but I think should be there is the one where Lex and Clark face each other during Lionel's funeral and the one where Clark burns Zod's towers down from last season. Those were some great tracks.

That stuff is crap!
There were so many great songs they ignored like Doomsday theme, when Clark enters the fortress for the first time, Clark and Tess jumping from the plane, Jimmy spying on Chloe and Davis in the hospital, and I can go on and on! I hope they release more stuff!

No it sounds like the same one. They have the same notes played slowly in the last 10 seconds, but I was hoping for the full theme.

Like this one: [YT]KlieXkRPH50[/YT]

On a side note, damn I miss this version of Oliver.

Yeah, I was about to post the same thing after seeing them listed on Febre's site. I think there was a video on youtube or something that had some rips of the score and they had that one there.

The Fortress Falls is a rendition of the Doomsday theme - maybe the song in it's entirety would include the rest?

well maybe certain tracks were not able to be released onto itunes for what ever reason.

It's not just iTunes. Amazon doesn't have them either. I hope another album is released soon.

well like i said probably could be a legal reason or some other reason why some tracks were not included. But ya hopefully more tracks will go online if not itunes/amazon at louis website too.

Is it just me, or does Trials sound like something they would use at the end of the Finale?

Question: what songs do you think represented each season? Like with Season 1, what song do you think of that reflects what that season was about? Same with other seasons, including the final one.

Season 1 - Grow up Superboy / The Setup / Freaks
Season 2 - Burn Baby Burn
Season 3 - Where Am I
Season 4 - The Final Stone
Season 5 - Their Own Poison
Season 6 - Rigged to Blow
Season 7 - Defeating Bizarro / The Fortress Falls
Season 8 - Lois' Waltz
Season 9 - Pandora's Kiss/ A Hall of Heroes :super:
Season 10 - Clark Tells Lois / Trials

No, I meant songs, not scores.
You confused me. :cmad:

Very well.:o

Season 1 - "Superman (It's Not Easy)" - Five for Fighting (Stray, Clark slowly realizes that it's not easy being who he is.)

Season 2 - "Take Me Away" - Lifehouse (Exodus, After much struggle and waiting, Clark finds lands the girl of his dreams, and at least for a few moments, life is perfect.)

Season 3 - "Hurt" - Johnny Cash (Shattered , A season full of Clark pretty much letting every one around him down.)

Season 4 - "This is Your Life" - Switchfoot (Blank, Season 4 was full of Clark making decisions that he normally wouldn't make, despite the fact that in the end, he decided to go after his destiny.)

Season 5 - "You're Beautiful" - James Blunt (Reckoning, A song about love that is never meant to be, which is what season 5 was originally supposed to show between Clark and Lana. It was also used very well with the different focus on lyrics during the two barn scenes with Clark and Lana in Reckoning.)
Also, "I Grieve" - Peter Gabriel (Reckoning, The death of Jonathan was a big turning point for Clark.)

Season 6 - "Prelude 12/21" - A.F.I. (Subterranean, We really saw Lex start to become evil in season 6)

Season 7 - "One More Day" - VAST (Veritas, Clark realizes his ultimate weakness is losing Lana, and is unable to prevent it from happening no matter how hard he tries.)

Season 8 - "Don't Take Your Love Away" - VAST (Bride, The start of Clark's realizations for his feelings for Lois.)

Season 9 - "A Story of Us" - Chris Lind (Charade, One of the bigger themes of the season was the Lois, Clark, and Blur triangle.)

Season 10 - "Baby, I Need You" - Kim Taylor (Homecoming, Continuing with the theme of Clark and how much he needs Lois to be there for him.)

Sweet to be finally getting a score! But it would be nice to have just about everything included...
