I think they're kind of cute, in a goofy way. Although we know who they came 'from', I'm a little concerned at how they seem to have some of Pete's mannerisms. Recorded voices? Weird...are they imprinted with some of Peter or what, it was strange. That being said the "triplets" might make some interesting future storylines for Pete.

"Stand aside, kids...let daddy handle this."

LOL. :woot:

Well, Slott did a really good job of making them likable.

But seriously, clones:csad: ?

i thought the armored scarlett spiders were clones of MVP, not pete as for the voices ,the armors could be programmed to sound like spider-man to protect the wearers id's

I'm still wondering if the suits given them powers or is MVP still just peek human?

So far I like 'em. Hopefully it doesn't get out of hand and they get there own book or something.:whatever:

I think it's the suits. The one the Vulturions grabbed got beat up pretty quickly once his suit got busted.

And man, someone needs to redesign those "arms" or make them more durable. Seems like they get broken all the time in fights.

Right? Those guys get in MY face, and i'm goin' right for the waldoes!

Aloha,
These guys have a Slingers feel to them. I would be surprised if they had a mini series.
Spidey rules

I hope not. What? Ben Rielly can't have a series, but they can?

Well seeing as Ben Reilly is the opposite for what the entire current comic industry represents, (Reilly was spearheaded by a bunch of guys in suits who don't even know the slightest about the history of comics running things,) I doubt we'll see Reilly anytime soon.

Say what you will about JQ and Breevort, but at leas they knw their history and are passionate about wat they believe in. Even if it does drive a lot of people nuts.

In the latest issue of The Initiative they do come right out and say in the book that it's the suits that are giving them the spider-like strength and agility.

I've got to say I was a little apprehensive about the whole Scarlet Spider thing and was under the impression that it would just be random SHIELD agents underneath the masks. But this latest issue definitely made things a lot more interesting with the reveal of it being [BLACKOUT]MVP clones[/BLACKOUT]

Personally it's another huge input by Dan Slott and giving the Marvel Universe yet another outlet for it to grow. If anything this latest Initiative issue just made me more excited for Dan's Amazing Spider-Man run.

I wasn't sure if they were still lying to cover for Peter or not there. But I guess that's good enough for me.

at first, I didn't like them, I thought they were "cheating" Spider-Man's legacy. And the first time I've read Initiative 7, I didn't understand it wuite good and thought they were saying that there never was A spider-man, but merely Spider-Men, and that Pete was one of them (I don't speak English fluently). But I've read that issue again, and after understanding that they were saying that they were gouvernement-sponsorized Spider-Men but not THE Spider-Man that I finally liked them, and by the way they really did help Peter, so I have to say that I hope they'll have good stories in the future

I like the new Scarlet Spiders more than the original Scarlet Spider...simply because they're not on an uber-s***ty story. I hate their suits, but the characters don't bug me. Honestly, I'm just loving the Initiative right now....but, I have to side with Wolvie2020 and say, Why clones?!

I like the scarlet spiders but i felt really disappointed and mislead when their identities were revealed. I coulda sworn prior to the revelation, Marvel said that we were only gonna discover one of their identities and it was gonna be a character that " spider-man fans will recognize". Didnt they say that? I was expecting it to be Ben reilly or the prowler or something, but i didnt know they were just simply gonna be clones of MVP (whom i know nothing about).

I'm ready for them to go away, although I did like the Initiative story. To me, the knockoffs always lessen the value of the originals. It's the same reason I never liked War Machine, Thunderstrike or US Agent. And don't get me started on the Green Lantern corps. :-)

But they establish pretty well that the Scarlet Spiders aren't anywhere near the original Spider-Man's strength, agility, or talent. They're pale imitations, which makes them good enough for basic stuff, but not any kind of "replacement" for Spider-Man himself.

I think the story will eventually change, though, and the Scarlet Spiders will cease to be.
